toby already said he will not release the chapters separated and that will release the chapters as a full game the chapters just are parts of the story/lore during the game (like paper mario chapters for example) but deltarune will still be a full game and not separated in parts you need to download and play. edit:basically it will take loooooooooooooong time util deltarune is released

They both got into a situation they never wanted: Kris got "possessed" by us. And we were thrown into their body, despite being told to make a vessel of our own. We're kinda locked together in this.
This actually is surprising accurate for being made before chapter 2, the game greatly hints at the idea of only the soul being the player and not Kris himself

This comments section aged poorly, everyone thought that the soul was good and kris was evil but chapter 2 showed that it was the other way around Song slaps though
I mean, it kind of implied that the soul was evil, but in other ways it leaned more towards Kris being the evil one. You'll notice that Kris seemingly doesn't have any friends, as Toriel is surprised when she finds out that they are "playing with a friend", and they only gain friends when the soul interferes with their life. My personal theory is that we actually play as Gaster, him controlling the soul as he has found a way to modify alternate timelines to conduct experiments, thus also making Gaster the knight.

You just play as the discarded SOUL, taking form of Kris' former make believe character in order to stop him from destroying the world of his brought to life by unknown means. Either You stop Kris here, or all will be lost! Edit: Been looking back at this comment and thinking to add onto it. OK so, a change, it's not just the SOUL that manifested a body, but it's merely the discarded vessel from the beginning of the game gained through unknown means. You chase Kris through the Dark World, trying to right his wrongs and fix the world while also trying to put a stop to him. You would also have the same name, stats, and weapon that you used in Undertale if you have the game installed (if its the real knife, it defaults to the Sword). Also, notice that in the deltarune logo in the video, the heart is no longer in the A.

I absolutely love this song. It's mysterious, tragic and fricking epic. The song ties itself perfectly with deltarunes story, and though slightly outdated, I can still totally see this happening in deltarune. The music and sounds in the background are amazing, good job man. 👏

SNOWGRAVE Kris - 70 AT 50 DF Another useless vessel. SUSIE - [Currently Equipped Weapon and Armor] AT - Y DF Our choices don't matter when it comes to her, don't bother trying
For the fight itself, you will be joined by Ralsei while Kris will be joined by Susie, their best friend. Ralsei will act as a glass canon, getting powerful attacking and healing abilities at the cost of always being in danger of dying. Susie will gain a small ability to heal that won't be too large given how the fight will practically be impossible if it was too good. The FIGHT button will be a normal attack on Susie, but on Kris will be leashing out puppet strings which drains their STAMINA. If their Stamina drops to 0 the fight will end. Although this will lower Susie's and Kris' mercy counter by a long shot so be sure that you're using it if you want them gone. The ACT Button contains three universal actions and one unique one that gets unlocked in the Pacifist/Snowgrave route. Reason will talk to Kris about either how isolated and alone they are (Snowgrave) and how they need us or about how we need them to seal the fountain and maintain balance (Neutral + Pacifist). Persuade will be used for Kris (granted it won't work as good as Reason does) but is largely targeted at Susie and Ralsei, and in the Snowgrave route will call upon someone else from the Light World to kill them. The third act isn't much use, just being a mechanic where DF and AT increases for the next two turns (Speech). MAGIC for Ralsei will be Heal Prayer, Pacify (will lower attack on Susie), Sleep Mist (will put either of the two to sleep) or Lullaby (will do considerable damage to them both). And the items for the two will be split randomly
The attacks will be a mixture of the VS Susie attacks but largely buffed, Kris slashing st the vessel multiple times, or using Dark Clouds against us, and other seemingly fitting ones. The final attack will be where Susie will use REDBUSTER and Kris follows it with X-Slash, they deal massive damage and are far harder to dodge than the rest of the attacks that preceded them. The cutscene for this fight will be where Kris takes out their soul and try to attack a force possessing them, with Susie instantly coming to their aid and Ralsei warning them about how this will cause the Light and Dark world to lose balance. They won't buy it (whether this is actually true is up to interpretation) and the fight will begin.
@@konbkob4156 The only issue I see is that redbuster is used when Kris shines their soul power or something on Susie. In this scenario, the soul is on the opposing side, therefore it wouldn't work. However, I'm sure rude buster would work fine.
@@brandyt890 Because Rude Buster is unavoidable by enemies unlike Sparing or Fighting.. Itd be cool if in order to "avoid" Rude Buster we mash a button or key(Like Z on Keyboard, X on PS and A on Switch/XBOX) to have Ralsei use his Fluffy Guard block the attack enough for it to dissipate completely

Alright, here's a fan theory/idea for future deltarune chapters. After you defeat all of the secret bosses and collect the shadow crystals, Seam will craft them into a Dark Mirror. Once Kris uses this item, it causes the avatar that the player made at the start of Deltarune to appear and fight as the final secret boss, with it's body coming apart at the neck and waist as the fight goes on.

Looking back at this, I would love the idea of fighting the vessel or Kris in later chapters, possibly being a secret or story-related reoccurance. Maybe even a different theme for the final encounter?
Wait. I just thought of something. “You” would have the exact same stats as you would. So if you have 90HP, 15ATK, and 12DEF, “You” would have the same as well. Dealing damage to it causes you to take the same damage, just like in the Dusttale Pacifist run.

I like to think the player controlling Kris is actually a symbol for Morality controlling a person. While the rules of society may suck in many aspects, what if deltarune is counteracting common sentiment by saying that due to destructive human nature, without societal limits we'd destroy eachother?

Actually this might be canon because you can find discarded vessel data that you chose in the save file So I think what we chose matters at the end although That your choices doesn't matter actually made me feel what prison feels like so that what was spamton and jevil telling us that they just want freedom and telling you to set yourself free Edit:they didn't want to kill us they wanted us to be free but we are stuck in this fate and it will repeat over and over And when jevil said we are the one who is trapped and he is free he was talking to you.

Maybe you play as your soul for a bit, find Gaster's lab, find your vessel, play as the vessel, enter the dark world as "YOU", fight Kris, reclaim your life

Who is the villain in this scenario? In the video, the player side is on the right, the side of the enemy, and Kris is on the left side, the side of the hero, however kris looks dangerous while the player looks chivalrous. Kris wants to be free but it seems that he has been a bit violent, while the player want to get a body again, but it forces the body to have no free will. So who is the good guy? I'd love if, if this situation panned out in-game, you were forced to hot-swap between Kris and the Vessel as the Vessel tries to steal you for themselves, and you'd get to see attacks on both sides. Only difference is that Kris's would be slower and more labored, but probably supplemented by the other party, while the Vessel would be experienced enough without a soul that it wouldn't suffer from it.
92 is a very significant number in Undertale/Deltarune. Why? Because it represents the Undertale LOVE 19 HP, which is the amount usually seen right before a _major_ weird route fight.

I mean, it kind of implied that the soul was evil, but in other ways it leaned more towards Kris being the evil one. You'll notice that Kris seemingly doesn't have any friends, as Toriel is surprised when she finds out that they are "playing with a friend", and they only gain friends when the soul interferes with their life. My personal theory is that we actually play as Gaster, him controlling the soul as he has found a way to modify alternate timelines to conduct experiments, thus also making Gaster the knight.

This is actually an interesting concept. You just play as the discarded SOUL, taking form of Kris' former make believe character in order to stop him from destroying the world of his brought to life by unknown means. Either You stop Kris here, or all will be lost!
Edit: Been looking back at this comment and thinking to add onto it.
OK so, a change, it's not just the SOUL that manifested a body, but it's merely the discarded vessel from the beginning of the game gained through unknown means. You chase Kris through the Dark World, trying to right his wrongs and fix the world while also trying to put a stop to him.
You would also have the same name, stats, and weapon that you used in Undertale if you have the game installed (if its the real knife, it defaults to the Sword).
Also, notice that in the deltarune logo in the video, the heart is no longer in the A.

I absolutely love this song. It's mysterious, tragic and fricking epic. The song ties itself perfectly with deltarunes story, and though slightly outdated, I can still totally see this happening in deltarune. The music and sounds in the background are amazing, good job man. 👏

Our choices don't matter when it comes to her, don't bother trying
For the fight itself, you will be joined by Ralsei while Kris will be joined by Susie, their best friend. Ralsei will act as a glass canon, getting powerful attacking and healing abilities at the cost of always being in danger of dying. Susie will gain a small ability to heal that won't be too large given how the fight will practically be impossible if it was too good.
The FIGHT button will be a normal attack on Susie, but on Kris will be leashing out puppet strings which drains their STAMINA. If their Stamina drops to 0 the fight will end. Although this will lower Susie's and Kris' mercy counter by a long shot so be sure that you're using it if you want them gone.
The ACT Button contains three universal actions and one unique one that gets unlocked in the Pacifist/Snowgrave route. Reason will talk to Kris about either how isolated and alone they are (Snowgrave) and how they need us or about how we need them to seal the fountain and maintain balance (Neutral + Pacifist). Persuade will be used for Kris (granted it won't work as good as Reason does) but is largely targeted at Susie and Ralsei, and in the Snowgrave route will call upon someone else from the Light World to kill them. The third act isn't much use, just being a mechanic where DF and AT increases for the next two turns (Speech).
MAGIC for Ralsei will be Heal Prayer, Pacify (will lower attack on Susie), Sleep Mist (will put either of the two to sleep) or Lullaby (will do considerable damage to them both). And the items for the two will be split randomly
The attacks will be a mixture of the VS Susie attacks but largely buffed, Kris slashing st the vessel multiple times, or using Dark Clouds against us, and other seemingly fitting ones. The final attack will be where Susie will use REDBUSTER and Kris follows it with X-Slash, they deal massive damage and are far harder to dodge than the rest of the attacks that preceded them.
The cutscene for this fight will be where Kris takes out their soul and try to attack a force possessing them, with Susie instantly coming to their aid and Ralsei warning them about how this will cause the Light and Dark world to lose balance. They won't buy it (whether this is actually true is up to interpretation) and the fight will begin.

@@konbkob4156 The only issue I see is that redbuster is used when Kris shines their soul power or something on Susie. In this scenario, the soul is on the opposing side, therefore it wouldn't work. However, I'm sure rude buster would work fine.
@@brandyt890 Because Rude Buster is unavoidable by enemies unlike Sparing or Fighting.. Itd be cool if in order to "avoid" Rude Buster we mash a button or key(Like Z on Keyboard, X on PS and A on Switch/XBOX) to have Ralsei use his Fluffy Guard block the attack enough for it to dissipate completely

Alright, here's a fan theory/idea for future deltarune chapters. After you defeat all of the secret bosses and collect the shadow crystals, Seam will craft them into a Dark Mirror. Once Kris uses this item, it causes the avatar that the player made at the start of Deltarune to appear and fight as the final secret boss, with it's body coming apart at the neck and waist as the fight goes on.

Who is the villain in this scenario? In the video, the player side is on the right, the side of the enemy, and Kris is on the left side, the side of the hero, however kris looks dangerous while the player looks chivalrous. Kris wants to be free but it seems that he has been a bit violent, while the player want to get a body again, but it forces the body to have no free will. So who is the good guy? What's your opninion?

It has a retro stile but on a tone of remix that fits perfectly
I'd love if, if this situation panned out in-game, you were forced to hot-swap between Kris and the Vessel as the Vessel tries to steal you for themselves, and you'd get to see attacks on both sides. Only difference is that Kris's would be slower and more labored, but probably supplemented by the other party, while the Vessel would be experienced enough without a soul that it wouldn't suffer from it.
