We do have better odds for A rank characters compared to HSR at least. Not sure how it compares against losing the A rank guarantee when we pull S ranks though - like if it's still a net positive or negative or the same in the long term. I think it may still be a positive since it's 2.76x higher odds for A rank characters, almost 3x

Even with Monthly + BP I can't see myself ever rolling for Engines with this gacha system unless I luck out early on a banner I was saving for a long time, characters can be pretty expensive already to try and hit 4 pities. At least with WuWa the weapon is guaranteed
@@Raikos100i got qingyi’s w-engine for just 40 pulls. Lost the 65/35 first time for 20 pulls, then i finally got it for another 20 pulls. I can say that the w-engine banner is more forgiving compared to the character banner.
Is it worth it to pull for the limited engines? I mean you seem to get a lot from just summoning on other banners but to try and get the character specific ones, im not sure if I should waste summons on it or not

For a stage action game I think PGR did the banner better, weapon is unique for each character but banner pity is half of the character banner with 80/20 rate (I think it was 70/30 before), zzz engines can be used on anyone but passives are still designed for the character

on the other hand we need less characters to build a team. so i still think it's a bit more fair than HSR since we will use less pulls to get a complete team
If it ain’t broke… ZZZ has the pull counter, definitely a big improvement. The system works and the pull economy seem pretty on par from what I’ve seen, with all the endgame modes and various events. Could be better? Sure, but weapon banner is still always a scam + at the end of the day it’s not that serious… I promise you won’t die if you can’t S rank the final endgame stages.
Id love if they add the guaranted character on the pitty, but after watched how many people spended their money on get the characters with the 50/50 im sure they never gonna change it

I would say it is better because they only have 2 rate up 4 stars on the character and weapon banners so they're easier to max out and you get gear you can use. Look at Moze LC for instance.
I got 4 s rank bangboos and I've only hit >50 once Gacha system is good as is There's several categories for gacha games i like to use to sort them out 1 every pull matters (genshin/hsr/zzz) where characters are extremely rare and any copy is an investment along with their weapon 2 games where the 5 star rates are so high that they give out over a thousand rolls for free and they'll loose nothing while 10 pulls take around an hour max to grind for (pixel overlord, that one pokemon one, mini warriors 2) 3 games with rates so low+ you need copies and alot of them and often without a pity system (dragon ball legends, dokkan battle) (ok they all have pity systems but they cost around 1000 rolls for a singular copy, and if you play those games you know how hard it is to actually hit pity) 4 Games with extremely low rates but you'll only need one copy but still need to grind, the grind will be faster if you just pull more copies of the character (guardian tales, captain tsubasa dream team/ace, DX2) With the way zzz is structured it fits the 1st category where the base character's kit is already good so you'll really only need one copy, the w engines and cinema are completely optional/not needed as all the content including endgame can be cleared with even the starter characters and free ones, since unlike genshin, it's also more skill based focused as they currently have no character that can heal outside of one S rank bangboo which still requires 2 maid people to do so You get 1 for free but 2 are standard banner 5 stars and 1 is a limited banner 5 star

The issue is wanting to max out every character in the early patches. You only need the DPS for dmg and survivability, the other characters can safely stay at 40-50 depending on the synergy you’re going for. Supports need specific stats that often get capped for their buff so there’s no point in going all in for them.
Well, we got higher chance of A rank characters at least. It's 7.05% in ZZZ compared to 2.55% in HSR. And our weapon banner has slightly better rates overall for both S and A w-engines, compared to HSR rates for 5* and 4* light cones. Definitely not the exact same as HSR, but very similar. If you're looking at pity system alone, ZZZ might actually be the worst now. Genshin is now 55-45, and HSR is closer to 56-44 if you look at the data (It's likely that the limited unit is being included in the pool of 5 stars when you lose the 50-50) Edit: genshin ain't 55-45 apparently. Might be if you consider consolidated rate, but that's not really helpful
They show your pity to both A-Rank and S-Rank AND combined the newbie banner with the standard so those 50(40) pulls count towards that 300 milestone for a free S-Rank

Well now GI is better since it only cost 160 pulls maximum for ur desired weapon since 5.0. And since all game have 160 currency per pulls and 90 for chars 80 for weapon, it is obvious that they want to make all the price the same for all the game (Genshin onwards), also the money you spend, I think that's why they make Bangboo banner completely f2p, or rather, unwhaleable cus it's a unique mechanic. If you want some different scale and pity, try waitung for Hoyo's new gama that've been leaked around lately

they improved on the standard banner by combining the starter banner and normal banner so you are quicker to get to the 300
