I’m so glad you did a video on k-beauty items!! I’ve been obsessed with them lately and wanting to buy some lol. It’s hard to shop online because I’m worried the shade won’t match me or I’ll regret buying it. I prefer testing items in person but there aren’t a lot of places that sell them in stores. That’s why videos like these are helpful when I’m considering purchasing. One lip tint that I have and really like is the Romand glasting water tint in shade #16 fig rise Ty for the honest reviews and the amazing video🫶
Just got a hand on the Dasique pallet SAME colour and used the first time today! I have dark skin as well. Other shades are not very apparent on my eyes. I would recommend Dasique Lip jam (pods) they have the muted colour (no 12, 13, 14) I think you will love them 😘
Right! I have to build it up and use a primer, but I like the finished looks overall. I’ll have to look into the lip jams, thanks for the recommendation!
I have the same dilemma with k-beauty makeup! I think we're about the same skintone and I really wanted to love Korean eyeshadow but they're lightly pigmented (and light colors in general) so most of the brown palettes just blend into nothing lol. Sticky-ish eye primers can help, but then I feel like you can't blend them out that well. I want to try cushion foundation, but I already have light-medium coverage foundations that I like (such as Maybelline Fit Me Dewy+Smooth) that I know match me really well. I do love Korean lippies tho, I have 2 juicy lasting lip tints from Romand and 3 zero velvet tints. The juicy lip tint in the shade #23 nucadamia is very tan girl friendly, it's a beautiful everyday pinky-brown color. The other color I have is #18 mulled peach, which is a nice pink color (but I love nucadamia more lol). Finally, I have the zero velvet tints in #22 (it's a nude apricot-ish color), #23 (sexy maroon color), and #24 (reminds me of Selena Quintanilla's red lipstick); they are all beautiful colors and feel like a whipped matte lipstick. They don't suck the moisture out of your lips but they can be a bit thick feeling/messy if you over-apply. Sorry for the massive comment, but I hope this info was helpful!
I love TESO in Koreatown in New York and the Japanese rice. Masks are amazing. I forgot the brand but I hope you had a good experience and I’m glad you weren’t harassed anyone outside the shop
Love your video!! Hoping they open a location in California some day lol You've probably heard this before, but with the TirTir foundation I recommend applying with a foundation brush of your choice, instead of the puff. It's really hard to start light and build up to a preferred level of coverage, but I've found most success with a dense-bristle brush for a light-medium coverage.
I’m sure there has to be similar stores in CA somewhere. 👀 I’ll have to try it that way. I’ve recently tried using a lighter amount and the finish was beautiful!
Love the video, just last week I started buying Korean tints because the formulas are good but the colors obviously because of my skin color always look different, it's super nice to see others of my skin tone also try Korean products, love your content always!
I just discovered teso life in july. I live in tx i didn't know the store existed but man o man I was like a kid in a candy store! I loved all the j beauty products i felt like I was back in Japan I also liked that they had k beauty as well....and all the different flavors of kitkats I can get. Great video!
I have always bought J and K-beauty online or whenever visit Japan, but never knew there was such a massive store like that! There is quite a lot of Japanese brands too, like minon which I quite like, it's for dry sensitive skin like curel or cerave. That anessa sunscreen spray is a very popular brand there, and also Canmake which is a great drugstore Japanese brand and the one I buy the most from. I too find that most makeup don't work on my skin tone as they are made for pale skin, but I like the lip products and eyeliners. The eyeshadows barely show up, but then again I prefer the ultra pigmented natasha denona type of shadows, and the asian ones seem far to natural for my preference, as I am the opposite of "clean girl" lol
I would go back to NYC just for the store. 😆 And yes, based off the swatches and the one eyeshadow palette I bought, the shadows are not like Natasha Denona - very soft, minimal pigment and barely there on the eyes. But so far the pigment has been buildable, which I like.
I have something to add about the Judydoll mascara. So, my school once made us go jogging during streaming rain for 30 minutes, and afterwards, my mascara wasn't smudged even in the slightest. The only thing I noticed was that some of my lashes were sticking together.
I have acne prone skin and I looove the Tir Tir Milk skin toner. I fee like you will love it too, its so hydrating and I think it has improved the texture of my skin, acne and its really soothing. I know from your previous videos you love the ilia the base face milk, seems like they could be similar but i have never tried the ilia toner before. Let me know if you still like the ilia one over the tir tir toner if you have tried it already, as I have been considering the ilia one
I'm from New York but am often scared to go into Asian Beauty stores. I don't fit the demographic and the options are overwhelming. This looks super cool tho!
Girlie I love you… and yes I feel you… Korean cushions shades are too light for me as well even when I use their daskest shades. I have to use crazy amount of bronzing to make it work. But why am I making my make up work for me instead of the other way around…. 😭
For sunscreen: don’t use these sunscreen spray or sticks, to achieve the wanted and promised spf you’d have to spray almost 2 minutest straight, same for the stick except u don’t spray it

I fully regret not getting anything from Rom&nd while editing this video. I’ll have to check that out!
I hear fwee's Lip & Cheek Blurry Pudding Pot is really pigmented and has a good shade range.
I’ve been dying to try them!!

I love learning what works. I’ll reference this the next time I’m shopping for lippies! Thanks for taking the time. 🫶

I loveee romand, all my Korean lip balms are from them
I love the centella 1004 sunscreen and now I’ll add the dive in in my wishlist. Thanks for the recommendation!!
I will be in New York for New York Fashion Week and I’m soooo excited you’ve shared this store!! I LOVE K-beauty so I will be going! 😍🥰
Yes!!! I’m excited for you. ♥️
I love TESO in Koreatown in New York and the Japanese rice. Masks are amazing. I forgot the brand but I hope you had a good experience and I’m glad you weren’t harassed anyone outside the shop
I’ll be on the lookout! And there wasn’t really anyone outside the store lol 🤷♀️
@@ellerchu oh that we’re homeless people harassing people outside the shop for several months. I’m glad you had no issues though.

I am sooo happy that I live in Japan!
J-Beauty & K-Beauty are just the best!
The only non-Asian beauty products I own are from Dior. 😅
Ugh I go to westchester to shop at sephora because growing up and living in nyc it’s just too much people and there’s never anything on the shelf
