- Judgment is the final judging of humankind by God. It is a judicial process to be able to discriminate according to a certain rule or norm. We focused our study on the book of Isaiah. The theme of the book of Isaiah is the justice and the mercy of God. Isaiah is a testament of God's faithfulness to His people until the end. The book stands as the most Christological book of the Old Testament.
The glory of God is displayed in His judgment both through His justice and mercy. God's judgment made His mercy beautiful and needful. Without His wrath, the mercy of God will have no meaning. The glory of God is also the weight of the majestic goodness of who God is, and the resulting name, or reputation, that He gains from the revelation of Himself as Creator, Sustainer, Judge, Redeemer, perfect in justice, and mercy, lovingkindness, and truth.
Since the glory of God is displayed in His judgment both through His justice and mercy, we should live a life of praise, trust, and obedience. Live a life of praise to give God the glory in all things. We should also share the gospel passionately and clearly. We should follow Christ in His call to make disciples of all nations and be devoted to reflecting the life of Christ through our spiritual disciplines.
