All the battery packs Romeo Power manufactured for the Tre were made of 21700 cylindrical batteries. The individual cell connection points were able to corrode and cause the entire pack to burn. I believe there's no way to disassemble them cost effectively, so they're storing them outside with enough distance to prevent a single pack fire to spread to others.
@@enighostmaster 2170 are good cells, I would really like to get my hands on one of there modules and take it apart! Hopefully this bad choice in battery pack manufacture’s doesn’t kill the company!!!
@@stevedutcher3875 I'm pretty sure they are put together in such a way that you would have a tough time removing the cells without destroying them, otherwise Nikola would be recovering them and not leaving them out in the open to rot. Look at how Munro tears down Tesla packs and you'll see how difficult it is to remove individual cells.
@@enighostmasterI would assume that what Tesla does is a quite advanced technique, making it also the structural pack it is. Very good video! Much appreciated. 1:43 looks like one that burned down too. Might be where that cab came from. A lot of these units look like rolling cabs with no mechanics in them. Would relly enjoy a video during the work week!

Hydrogen vehicles is easier then generating any sort of hydrogen at quantity. Let alone not out of natural gas. Check the price of hydrogen at any of the refueling stations in California.

So first of all November 3rd was a Sunday - and they really are not manufacturing on Sunday. Record during a regular day maybe? So furthermore; at time stamp 2:49 - 2:59 is that smaller white pick-up truck a Badger? Maybe something else? Wouldn't y'all be surprised if they announced a new partner/investor and a line of passenger vehicles? Happy to see there also a couple sleeper cab trucks too - reminiscent of the Nikola One. That spells Budweiser and Walmart all over it. As long as NKLA can get ahead of the cart on this, the business will be extremely profitable. Since Tesla is also going Hydrogen 2025-2026 that shift alone is going to boost Nikola. They literally are like a mini - me - tesla company, so.... Keep your hopes and dreams alive - and Love you guys! 🙂
