Hello, author here. I wrote this forever ago, and it was based on a night terror. It's an aborted reality bender who started using its powers in the womb, and his mother aborted it. It's just a fetus, so warping reality doesn't really make sense when it doesn't really know what reality is outside of its mother. This article was written before Holy Science, which only exists to explain this single article retroactively. You don't really need to read all that. It is indeed just a spooky room. Thanks!

So, yeah. The anomaly is the spirit of a reality bender who started messing with things in the womb and was aborted out of fear. The septic tank creature is its poor mother being punished. Something most folks don’t know is that this is actually part of a canon called “Holy Science” which revolves around a religious reality bender named Ezekiel (who didn’t know he was a reality bender). From what I can gather, SCP-1782 was in fact part of Ezekiel’s plan to bring about the Second Advent (a plan derailed by 1782’s abortion). I haven’t finished “Holy Science” yet, but on the canon page, SCP-1782 is listed as “Daniel” EDIT: Okay, so, think I got it a bit clearer. SCP-2782 (yeah, same last 3 numbers) is a prequel to SCP-1782, and from the author’s notes, the imagery of the SCP (the birds) and Daniel’s abilities are due to Ezekiel unwittingly exerting his powers. The old man feeding himself to the kakopo is actually Ezekiel as he exists in Daniel’s subconscious (apparently the same goes for the septic tank creature so hopefully his real mother got the hell out of there)
While it's a disturbing conclusion I don't think the mother got away. I'm just basing this on the fact that the facsimile of Ezekiel de manifested at the scheduled time where as the septic tank creature exists there perpetually. To me this implies that it was something that really existed and was warped rather than something that was brought into existence by Daniel entirely
These feel like they need extra credit sections. Someone in the comments explained this as being part of a series, but I didn't realize at all after watching the last article.
BecUse all scp files for some ungodly reason are written in this order. Interesting facts. Weird occurs des. Events. Known information. Then description of the item or entity. Every other story every has events that describe the monster then there’s information about it and that tells a story. For some reason all these videos tell you a story about characters you haven’t met yet. Then tells you all weird facts about characters you haven’t met. Then tells you what the characters look like then that’s basically it. And everything is named scp1947-1-b. Militaries and scientist don’t do this because it’s confusing for no reason it’s trying so fucking hard to be kil spec science talk. Except no police no soldier no scientist would classify information this way. It’s dense convoluted and impossible to remember. Fine to foil your enemies who might see the documents maybe once ever. But not fine to confuse your workers who are the documents every single day forever. Caps are intentionally deeply confusing. Badly explained Siri then in reverse. And lacking any logic or cohesion. I love this fandom it’s a clever idea. It’s a good core. And all of the content is trash. All of it is badly written all of it is schlock it’s confusing on purpose because that’s how bad writing works. You omit things you can’t explain or didn’t think of.mi like scp. You might also like scp. All caps are badly written. All of them. No exceptions.
It’s the single worst written lore of any long running series ever as far as I’m concerned. There isn’t one article without glaring flaws and ommiaions. Like no Hollywood movie has a flaw fuck up miatake and logical galaxy in every single scene of the whole movie. But caps always do.

Maybe it's just my state of mind at this time, but this one is extremely unsettling to me. That is to say I love it! I also wanted to give this channel some props. I've been an SCP fan for many years, but I'm fairly new to the channel. At first, I wasn't sure how I felt about it. I'm used to watching the SCP channels that have the cartoon looking graphics to go along with the stories. So this is a little different. In a great way! It's simple, and every video is perfectly executed. The narration is so on point! I also like the pictures that are displayed throughout the videos. I'll definitely be watching more of what that channel has to offer. 😊

I just failed to think of a reality bender. The time of switch is likely the time of death. But why the length/duration? Imagine how terrifying it would be if a reality bender started using their powers while still in the womb.

Hey Volgun, got a quick question for you - when editing, how do you achieve your "redacted" effect? (Like in the dates in Area Record 1782). I've been messing around trying to find something that works for me but I can't seem to get it down. Any advice would be so greatly appreciated!
Based off of some of the redacted info (this is purely a guess, I haven't read the original and I don't know if it was redacted there as well), I suspect this article mentioned things similar to a specific kind of knotted rope that would get this comment auto removed. And the thing in the toilet was definitely not gonna pass TH-cams TOS if it relates to what was in the septic tank..
