Sneem, Kerry, Ireland (4K)

Sneem is a magical village located on the on the Iveragh Peninsula (part of the Ring of Kerry), in County Kerry, in the southwest of Ireland. It lies on the estuary of the River Sneem. National route N70 runs through the town.
While the village is quite small, there is so much to do and see here. Checking out one of the many parks and gardens, walking beside the river, following the sculpture trail, looking in the pyramid garden and just relaxing looking up at the mountains.

My grandmother Peggy O'Shea Marion Francis and Katie O'Shea were her sisters and their old from sneem in Ireland only Willie O'Shea stayed back in sneem So if any Willie related to the sisters there he'd be passed by now but God bless carry God bless Ireland and one day maybe I'll be able to visit my ancestral home peace Keith in New York

A beautiful area to visit. I first went there 40years ago with my family in a bedford camper van and have returned many times.

@@exploring.europe great place. Can you still pull into a layby for the night no problems? I like a nice bath after fishing these days so i enjoy the BnB .

yeah, well you could earlier in the year when i did it. but I think the over-flow of camper vans in Ireland since the pandemic started has annoyed a lot of locals so I’m not sure how long it will be possible to park wherever you want.
