Frida Lyngstad Quick Facts: Who Were Her Parents?

Anni-Frid Lyngstad of ABBA fame has one of the most interesting life stories in all of pop history. But where did it all start? Frida's miraculous story starts with her parents chance meeting in Norway during WWII. It may not be a wholly pleasant story, but it is the origin story of the pop princess (and real princess) Anni-Frid!

Made a mistake here. Synni Lyngstad was 21 when she died, and would have been about 19 when she had Frida. She was probably about 17 or 18 when she met Haase. Also... Frida's grandmother Arntine is widely referred to as "Agny", but apparently Frida herself has clarified that her grandmother was mostly called "Anni".

Synni was a brave mother to do what she's done for her baby. We all know what was going on in Norway during the WWII. Then again Frida wouldn't be born so ...every coin has two sides....

Frida is my favorite member of ABBA. She had a sad childhood since she lost her mother too early. But Sinny from heaven blessed her making Frida the excellent person she is. Love, Frida 💚!

When I was 24 in 93 I met my Biological mother Greta and found out from my Grandmother Hazel told me that Frida's father and my Grandfather Charles were brothers and that Frida is my second cousin.

For years, it has been wrongly stated that Frida's grandmother, Arntine was nicknamed Agny. But Frida revealed that the woman who raised her was actually known as 'Anni'.

Very touching ❤. I think the ABBA years (at least until the divorce) brought Frida so much happiness. You can see it on her face, she's living and enjoying every moment. Whereas Agnetha often looks like she just wants to be at home. I've said it before, but it seems like the ladies had so much more to deal with than the guys did. Everything appeared to just fall into place for Bjorn and Benny.

Frida was born on Nov 15. So by the end of WW2 (May 8 th) Signi could have been almost 3 months pregnant. So if she didn't tell Alfred, there is a change that it wasn't noticable she was pregnant at the moment he went back to Germany.
