I´m owning a PC with a GTX 1080 and i7 7700K (high end components in 2016) and still dediced to start playing Asphalt 8 and 9 in 2020 (since the infamous stock car bug in Asphalt 8, I have stayed with Asphalt 9)

Just remember the market for smartphones capable of high quality mobile games like Asphalt 9 isn't large. Therefore I believe this games will be exploited deeper for at least 3 years since it already looks stunning compared to today standard. Moreover, game companies nowadays tend to make their game having good live service and avoid regular release every 2 to 5 years (cost saving of course).

Weaker processors definitely could run the game smoothly and well, your phone would have an old budget phone to not be able to run the game. Every modern phone can smoothly run Asphalt 9, doesn't matter if it's $100, it can still run Asphalt 9

I believe we can think of an Asphalt 10 at the end of 2024 onwards, I believe it will be announced after the Asphalt 8 Studio contract expires, as it could be a possible "end" for Asphalt 8 and with that they can announce asphalt 10 so that they always keep 2 games of the saga always active
If they were to make the 10th installment of this series. It would probably be available only for Console and PC. *Gameloft* recently *closes* down their *studio* in *Budapest* _(this studio mainly focused on mobile gaming development)_ to *shift away from* the *mobile* market.
I know why you said it but looking at how fast graphics are getting better asphalt 9 will eventually get old, thus not now but in future asphalt 10 is needed even in console and computers.
There are other considerations as well, for example, back in 2018, did they formally get a license from Mitsubishi for the Lancer on the basis of one game or a game named "Asphalt9"? They could be looking at extremely high legal/contractual costs if they had to redo all the licensing for the existing vehicle, even if they didn't do that, it would have to be new vehicles. Right now, they add a car from a brand they already have a relationship with to a known system, Asphalt9. Also, if the car brands are PAYING to get into the game, which some of them could be, why would you pay to get in a game that could end up being a failure?
Maybe Asphalt 9 would last for a few years if Gameloft would just use their resources to make this game more f2p friendly, and if that or Asphalt 8 dosen't satisfy the players, ot if Gameloft does the complete opposite, they would have no choice to make the new Asphalt 10. For now, I don't see the possible outcome.
These point kinda make sense why Gameloft wouldn’t A10. I think there will be more content added to the game through the years showcasing the platform’s iconic cars, old and new, and some maps that had been previously in older titles and maybe new ones. And if the devs did brought the retro SE tab to replay old SE since launch up to maybe 2022, it will more likely to have more support until Gameloft decides to kill the servers.

I think they're trying to completely move into PC and Console platforms with their new title. Considering that there is a gap of 5 years between 8 and 9, it makes sense Asphalt 10 taking longer time period to arrive (if they're making it). If they're planning move into PC and Consoles completely, they need to do some works with whatever the engine (must be Unity) they're using rn. But I also think that it highly unlikely such a game to arrive at this moment since most gamers are not happy with modern racing games.
I think Asphalt 10 will release, but on consoles and it will be digital! From a marketing perspective, digital would be the right move. Will the next iPad and iPhone see it? That’s debatable. The best angle for Asphalt 10 is to mix old tracks from all previous games including Xtreme with some new locations such as Jerusalem, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Australia, and many others. Now, the cars are a different matter because of licensing.
I think that maybe Asphalt 10 would be released in the future only for bigger platforms like pc and consoles, and not on mobile, to expand their control over these platforms.

Except at the beginning of the video, we can see on a wall it says "NYC" (new-york) and "X" (10) in white and at the end we can see the unisphere and the empire state building so I think it's This is the map of new york in asphalt 10 and it's confirmed on the asphalt 10 fandom that there is a map there. So A10 is coming soon!

Wishing the next two years from right now, we may see a significant decline in player retention and player base, based on how greedy they may milk a9. Only then, after that, will they may consider to develop a new a10 title, and my approximation is 5 years from now. ( 2 more years stale, 3 years to develop.) by then I’ll be 32, and no longer an active part of the franchise. If there is/was ever going to be an A10, it will most likely be on Consoles (PS, Xbox and Switch as a Hybrid Console). There's no reason to kill A8 or A9 to expect players to start over on a brand new title due to an already cemented player base on both games and most especially because of sunk cost fallacy effect from monetization. How do you expect players who have invested years of grinding and hundreds, if not thousands (and even tens of thousands) of $ to just up and quit all their progress to a new game and start from scratch? Good luck convincing them... 😅 Also you have to consider player time and focus. Those who exclusively stick to either A8 or A9 have it easier to spend their time as opposed to those of us who have to juggle both of them (like me). Now add another game (A10) to the play time roster and you are spending even more hours doing the same thing with 3 games... That's why it would be easier to try their luck in the Console Market with a fresh game and an unfamiliar player base because simply porting the older games to consoles would create a baggage of expectations (and frustations 😅) based on word of mouth from OG players. So a new game won't have that issue on console going forward. Lastly and most important, A10 as a new game cannot simply be a reskin of an older game like A8 or A9. It has to be a new experience entirely, visually and mechanically which will require a shit ton of RnD money and Dev Time. That kind of commitment will pull away from the current maintenance framework of having 2 separate Dev Teams managing both games (Kharkiv A8 & Barcelona A9), so they either have to assign a significant portion of them to work on the new game or hire a new Team of Devs entirely. Whether we like it or not, Live Service/Monetization is how they've been able to consistently keep the lights on for both games for as long as they've done, keeping things cheap and cost effective on their back-end. But a new game will suck up all that money from the jump and they'll need to turn a profit quickly upon release as most likely a Premium release (aka $70 full price game) with IAPs on top. Asphalt nitro 2 is on the way but its not finished yet and thats why they took down nitro from google Play and IOS but because its highly avivalable through sources like Happymod they are working less on nitro 2 sadly

Hey cars on , I think the new nfs mobile game will actually start to compete with asphalt 9. Why ? Because it has high graphics same like asphalt and its franchise is way more popular than asphalt 9.
I agree on that we won't see A10 soon, because GL is still making money from A9 and making a lot of events for it, so I don't think they will kill A9 soon, especially that they kept making content for A8 even after 10 YEARS. So they will most likely do the same with A9. I think making A10 will be a good idea tho cuz of how much potential there are to improve the game like making it easier to players to collaborate as u said, but in a better way, simple example making it possible to queue up with friends or make new gamemodes. For now, Disney: Speedstorm is the current iteration of Asphalt. Sure, it's kart racing and people might think Disney is developing the game but that's actually Gameloft's current game right now. It's Asphalt but with Disney characters with Kart mechanics, the core of the game however, is Asphalt.
Gameloft has failed in all Asphalt series except for Asphalt 8 and 9. Making Asphalt 10 is a big risk for Gameloft and Gameloft always destroys the previous version by releasing a new version of Asphalt, like the current situation with Asphalt 8, so if Asphalt 9 is one of your favorite games. you should oppose the plan to build asphalt 10!!!

I don't like Ace Racer.. I was so hyped when i saw it for the first time but when i played it i was very disapointed.. the graphics are great but the controls and the physics are garbage man.. every car feels the same and the game in general feels not good for me.. idk man
Ace Racer, KartRider series and Speed Racer only just drift racing since some tracks have a sharp turns like 'L' turn. It's not like Asphalt and Racing Master is, like driving normally. Mostly Asians play that game tho.
tbh Ace Racer does not had a better music unlike in A9 where songs like Valkyrie by Battle Tapes and The Jump by Pimps of Joytime slaps and also A9 has a lot more cars to offer unlike in Ace Racer which contains fictional ones and recently A9 finally had 60fps option and added Tuscany as the new track

If there is/was ever going to be an A10, it will most likely be on Consoles (PS, Xbox and Switch as a Hybrid Console).
There's no reason to kill A8 or A9 to expect players to start over on a brand new title due to an already cemented player base on both games and most especially because of sunk cost fallacy effect from monetization.
How do you expect players who have invested years of grinding and hundreds, if not thousands (and even tens of thousands) of $ to just up and quit all their progress to a new game and start from scratch?
Good luck convincing them... 😅
Also you have to consider player time and focus. Those who exclusively stick to either A8 or A9 have it easier to spend their time as opposed to those of us who have to juggle both of them (like me).
Now add another game (A10) to the play time roster and you are spending even more hours doing the same thing with 3 games...
That's why it would be easier to try their luck in the Console Market with a fresh game and an unfamiliar player base because simply porting the older games to consoles would create a baggage of expectations (and frustations 😅) based on word of mouth from OG players.
So a new game won't have that issue on console going forward.
Lastly and most important, A10 as a new game cannot simply be a reskin of an older game like A8 or A9. It has to be a new experience entirely, visually and mechanically which will require a shit ton of RnD money and Dev Time.
That kind of commitment will pull away from the current maintenance framework of having 2 separate Dev Teams managing both games (Kharkiv A8 & Barcelona A9), so they either have to assign a significant portion of them to work on the new game or hire a new Team of Devs entirely.
Whether we like it or not, Live Service/Monetization is how they've been able to consistently keep the lights on for both games for as long as they've done, keeping things cheap and cost effective on their back-end.
But a new game will suck up all that money from the jump and they'll need to turn a profit quickly upon release as most likely a Premium release (aka $70 full price game) with IAPs on top.
So that's why I don't think A10 will ever come to mobile but has a better chance on Console.

I have no expectations for now that there will be Asphalt 10 Even though it’s not necessary Asphalt 9 is enjoyable and still known to millions of people but if Gameloft has a plan for the Asphalt 10 then definitely it will the last game of Asphalt Franchise for now Asphalt 9 also need to grow like Asphalt 8 . Only think is if Gameloft has plan for the game they have make way better than Asphalt 9 which will take too much resources then A8 and A9

Asphalt nitro 2 is on the way but its not finished yet and thats why they took down nitro from google Play and IOS but because its highly avivalable through sources like Happymod they are working less on nitro 2 sadly

No debate (all the others game lag crash and bug all the time) and grafics are not that impressive
I think when the Asphalt 10 launched, I expect there would be new body-kits, real racing experience without nitro bottles (Which I expect like NFS would), High storage, realistic graphics and story modes. It's going to be fun if they add those.

Asphalt 9 is pretty good for the next years to come so asphalt x isn't that much necessary, they need to focus on Nova and modern combat.
Nfs mobile could overshadow it though, it's new, open world, really good graphics. There's already gameplay and it looks fantastic

I agree on that we won't see A10 soon, because GL is still making money from A9 and making a lot of events for it, so I don't think they will kill A9 soon, especially that they kept making content for A8 even after 10 YEARS. So they will most likely do the same with A9.
I think making A10 will be a good idea tho cuz of how much potential there are to improve the game like making it easier to players to collaborate as u said, but in a better way, simple example making it possible to queue up with friends or make new gamemodes.
I would really like to see these things in a Asphalt game
One last thing, I personally started to get bored a bit of a9 cuz I already know everything about the mechanics and the cars so having a completely new experience would be amazing.

Gameloft has failed in all Asphalt series except for Asphalt 8 and 9. Making Asphalt 10 is a big risk for Gameloft and Gameloft always destroys the previous version by releasing a new version of Asphalt, like the current situation with Asphalt 8, so if Asphalt 9 is one of your favorite games. you should oppose the plan to build asphalt 10!!!
a9 development still gonna continue for long imo,the game able to maintain a balance between fun and p2w,yes the battlepass and crap let u unlock some good car but that doesnt mean f2p player doesnt have any way of obtaining good car for themself,beside the game driving physic mechanic and crap are way more dynamic and skill dependent,allowing f2p player with skill to gain upper hand over p2w player who are less skilled compare to a8 staled gameplay with no real skill involved and pretty much a shitshow to see who spend more

I think making new game in this kind of situation is a huge mistake, but we can guess both Bethsda and Gameloft thinking about new games, but not developing them, maybe they have new concepts, but only them 🤷♂️

I don't like Ace Racer.. I was so hyped when i saw it for the first time but when i played it i was very disapointed.. the graphics are great but the controls and the physics are garbage man.. every car feels the same and the game in general feels not good for me.. idk man

Ace Racer, KartRider series and Speed Racer only just drift racing since some tracks have a sharp turns like 'L' turn. It's not like Asphalt and Racing Master is, like driving normally. Mostly Asians play that game tho.
tbh Ace Racer does not had a better music unlike in A9 where songs like Valkyrie by Battle Tapes and The Jump by Pimps of Joytime slaps and also A9 has a lot more cars to offer unlike in Ace Racer which contains fictional ones and recently A9 finally had 60fps option and added Tuscany as the new track

I think that Gangstar series is by GL Montreal so idk if they continue developing it since Gangstar New Orleans is quite lacking some stuffs (and may be ded since no update so far) than the Vegas is.
