    Great video, We have 55 of these training bikes for our school and all are starting to lose the clutch. This made it very easy for this shade tree mechanic to complete the task. I didn't have a notch or dot either on the final plate but it had 3 teeth with numbers. I used the middle of the three as the notch and worked great. 5 down and 50 more to go. Thanks again!

    Hey I bought clutchs and 4 of them have the notches and one of them don't so would the one without the notch go towards me?

    • @zekeworst9193
      @zekeworst9193  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If it doesn’t have a notch, it might have a dot. Either way, the one that isn’t like the others should be the last one you put in which would be the one that is closest to you.

      Mine have no notch or dot but one is slightly bigger than rest so I assume that goes outside. It's a virago but my brother bought the old style cork type plates

    I put my clutch plates in and a new cable but I line the arrows up but it's still acting like the clutch is engaged all time I try to adjusting it but never did one but the thing goin in motor that cable hooks to even with tha spring on it ant but little piece in middle of the clutch plate is loose

      Even with spring on the motor side of cable is it supposed to act like it ant hooked up ???

    • @zekeworst9193
      @zekeworst9193  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jerredrhymer638 No. Everything should be tight and secure. Your clutch cable might be too long. Have you tried taking up the slack in the cable by adjusting the screw on the handlebar right by the clutch lever? (Where the other end of the cable goes into the handle)

    • @zekeworst9193
      @zekeworst9193  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s fine. As long as everything went together smoothly, then you’re fine. Just out of curiosity, did you let the plates soak (overnight) in fresh, clean oil? If not, that could be why they stick. But other than that, you don’t have any issues with shifting through the gears at all?

      This is a video for the 250CC motor. I don’t know anything about the 125’s (or that they even made them that small). But, my advice would be check your work. Make sure you line up all of the plates in the basket, the plates were soaked in oil, etc. Can I ask what happenes when you shift into fifth?
