I live in montana and my house is right next to a mountain, like the foot of the mountain is right next to my backyard, I walk up and hike it every day in the summer and fall.

Best fishing I ever had was on that lake. There is a nice trail that runs up the right side of the boulder field, we did not see it until we watched a group use it after we were 80% up the boulders. They made it to the lake before we did. It's nice to see it again, its been 30 years.
It is illegal to operate a drone in a 'Wilderness' area. That includes National Forest Wilderness. A drone is treated the same as a chain saw. Keep it out of Wilderness areas.

You're exactly right it is illegal. They're against the law in designated wilderness for good reason as they can be devastating to wildlife. You're especially not supposed to fly them near or over wildlife like he did that bear.

BCL is a very special place for me. Camped and fly fished there with my fellow boyscouts in the 80s. You threw me with the Clark Fork mention. But I knew it once you showed the glacier boulder field. The place is off the charts.

@DroneOneMedia just curious - what precautions do you take when flying in national parks? My understanding is that it isn't legal (even with a Part 107 certificate), so do you just take off and land in areas less likely to have park rangers? Half the reason I bought my drone was to shoot beautiful places like this, so would love to know your thoughts/strategy.
I always check the Hover app before I fly (there are other apps as well). If I'm in a no-fly zone, I don't fly. It's that simple. The scenery in this video isn't a national park, and was wide open for drone flying.
While I don't always agree with no-fly zones, I always respect them. The more people who disobey them, the more rules and regulations we're all going to have IMHO.
Aren't you in Glacier National Park though?
+drewbie879 The latest VLOGs take place in Glacier National Park. But all the drone footage of the park was taken from outside the park boundary. If you take off and land outside the boundary of the park, you are okay to fly. Just no taking off and/or landing inside the park boundaries. That is strictly off-limits, and the park police have the authority to confiscate your drone and memory cards if they catch you.
