Hi and apologies for the very very slow response. I have had a go at improving this area though not red oxide, forgotten its existence. The video of it might just appear in the near future. I am also very slow with those. All the Best for the New year.

It sounds like your kick-start teeth might be engaging with 1st gear when you start it up. You might want to adjust the ramp a bit.

Would rub down that rust area...red oxide..Undercoat...3 layers of spray paint
