The hard tubing inside the reactor going to the bottom has a small oval/ V cut that I cut out in it at the top to keep it from back siphoning. When you clean the reactor it is good to check that it hasn't been caked over. Worst case would be it would back siphon into your R/O top off water.

I used a razor blade and cut a U shape out. These are the connectors I used a.co/d/iqLXcGp and these to seal the wires a.co/d/gfsUSYf
