Yes, agreed, shamkamikaze is a great guitaris in our country, very versatile in music genre like, rock,classical,jazz,fusion,keroncong, e.t.c their playing so nice & clean, he got own tone & style also, an he got a big knwledge in music, an of coz sham kamikaze, has good knowledge in the field of music, because not all guitarists in malaysia can read music notes, that is a priority for him and his name rises in the malaysian music scene in particular

What diffrentiate him from other guitarist is that he is a good youtuber..and his channel youtube video are very high quality..and deliver his material with excellency and as good as other teaching guitar youtuber from outside malaysia..but with bahasa malaysia medium and teaching style that we amateur in malaysia can understand

sham kamikaze adalah pemain gitar terbaik kerana beliau ada ilmu dan ada bakat. beliau belajar bermain muzik bukan hanya suka-suka atau cuba-cuba. beliau mendapat pendidikan muzik secara formal dan menceburkan diri dalam dunia muzik yang beliau minati iaitu genre rock tetapi mampu bermain dalam semua genre muzik kerana beliau adalah seorang pendengar yang baik dan mampu meniru solo2 gitaris lain yang agak sukar dilakukan kerana kebiasaannya pemain gitar asal akan menyembunyikan cord2nya dan tekniknya daripada tatapan umum.

Commercially, yes. Sham is very versatile and marketable. Just imagine, if we have a last minute function. Who do we call? I think we will choose the one whose knowledge is wide, fast sight reading, thousands of repertoire and like you said, versatility. 👍👍

maybe the word" the greates"t is not appropriate, if we say , sham is more versatile it might be much more true, in Malaysia there are many great guitarists if we want to measure their greatness in terms of the work they produce in the album, especially rock guitarists, sham can play rock music well but sorry he hasn't produced "evergreen" guitar solos such as kid search, man kidal, hillary ang, sharul ekamatra and many more... even sham doesn't have an instrumental solo album that can show his real skill in guitar playing or creation songs...if you want to listen to a malaysian instrumental guitar solo album that can be said to be on par with international musicians..please listen to sharul ekamatra's album "transfigurasi" for example listen this.. th-cam.com/video/2v7op9LGU5g/w-d-xo.html ..anyway sham is more famous for versatile even though his acoustic guitar playing is not as good as rafi suhu, in terms of recording songs in the album maybe he did not record as much as what has been done by aznan alias who has been a guest musician in the album for more than 1000 songs... actually there is a lot more to say.. what I like about sham is his neat, clean playing and a very good sound that goes well with various types of music....Anyway, Sham is one of the great guitarists in Malaysia..

Dengan 5 kriteria tersebut, pencapaian beliau sangat luar biasa, namun untuk mengatakan yang terbaik among the best, perlu pengiktirafan dari badan yang berkelayakan, but for me, beliau adalah favorite, bukan kerana pencapaiannya sahaja, tapi beliau sangat pandai mengajar dan menjelaskan teknik bermain guitar dalam channel beliau berbanding musician lain..

Having "ABSOLUTE" pitch is not a requirement or prerequisite for any great musician. In fact absolute pitch can be a hindrance especially for guitar players because a guitar can never be perfectly in tune and that can be extremely irritating for someone with perfect pitch. Also in a band situation, if the whole band is off pitch, by a fraction of a note, it would disturb someone with perfect pitch. Most musicians develop good "RELATIVE" pitch over time and that is all you really need. As for sight reading, it's always great if you learn it and can apply it, but again not a prerequisite for a great musician. For instance there are many good concert musicians that are unable to play much of anything without having a sheet of music in front of them.

I firmly believe that a stronger foundation in relative pitch among the band members can significantly enhance the chemistry and cohesion within the group.

Salah seorang yang terbaik bagi saya. Cuma nak tambah sedikit. Ada mereka yg salah faham kalau musicians tu pandai baca note, kononnya tiada feel, straight forward, keras. Salah tu, feel tu pun kami diajar. Malah mereka juga masukkan elemen byheart juga. Cikgu boleh bimbing, tapi feel tu akan jadi sendiri melalui pengalaman, banyak dgr genre lagu, latihan berterusan.

Sham is a good Guitarist no doubt. But on my opinion i wouldn't agree on saying his the best guitarist of Malaysia.. i have seen a few more guitarist in way better in terms of technical, Genre and even creative in tones and fx and writing own composition..☺️
