You don't need the egg yolks. Thats raw eggs and thats not necessary. The lemon juice firms up the pie. I use one can of sweetened condensed milk and pour the lemon juice in the empty can about 3/4th. full. I also use regular pie crust that I prebake until done. Mix the milk and juice together with a whisk. Pour into the cooled pie shell. Chill in fridge for an hour and then top with whipped cream. Delicious!!

@@EricandTeresaI'm confused about cheesecake also because you never used any cream cheese. Also when you slice your lemon, if you place the sliced part down you will get more juice and it will also catch the seeds. The pie looks absolutely wonderful ❤

To make the meringue your eggs has to be at room temperature very important

I’m not a meringue fan. I add sugar & vanilla extract…it’s so much better!
