Hey @Tayo Aina I'm from The Bahamas, we have a book written by Cleveland Eneas named Bain Town where he records some of the historical information he learned from his grandfather who was an Ex-slave. Many Bahamians are also Yoruba.
I have cruised to the Bahamas twice and found the people there to be so nice and very friendly, not just because its their business but because theyre not rushed or stressed.

It's superrrrrrrr expensive. I live in Nassau. I wanted to do a staycation...rooms are 500 per night. The hotel he's staying at is literally one of the worst. Old.
A lot of the Caribbean islands rooms accommodations are very expensive. Someone are US$300 to US$1,000.00 per night and more off and on tourist season. The Caribbean depends heavily on tourism and the rooms are very expensive.

This guy always does a good job in his videos. Depiction of Nassau is good & honest and i like that he included a visit to Bain town which is basically a local ghetto. Most people never show that. Its not all picture perfect beaches & crystal clear water! His Namibia video and visit to where the ocean meets the desert was AWESOME!
I'm so glad you enjoyed our country! Yes we follow you on TH-cam and love your videos..please come back and visit us again..so many other islands to see..and yes it is very pricey but the experience is worth it!
As a fellow Bahamian , who raised and still lives in Nassau , yes. This place is ridiculously beautiful and ridiculously expensive. Average price of food ( including fast food ) is like 10-18 dollars. The major reasoning behind this expensive land , we import 90 percent of our goods… so yes
I can't believe you came to my country! I've been "traveling" with you for a while but I live in "the second city" a different island. Hopefully next time you get an authentic, interisland experience. Truly appreciated this episode 😊

You will definitely love Jamaica Tayo. Safe travels through the Caribbean. Each one will be different and memorable experience. But you did an amazing capture of the beautiful Nassau, The Bahamas.
Was there in Nassau Bahamas in March 2023 for my birthday 🎉🍾🥂🎂. I went by sea through Caribbean Cruise 🛳 from Florida 🇺🇲. It was a fun trip with so many activities on and off the cruise ship. More interestingly was the very clean ocean water with fish that swim side by side with humans and would eat directly from your hands 🎉😊. TAYO, try the cruise line sometime 🛳 😍.
Taking a cruise does not give you the opportunity to really get to know the islands. You just have a few hours to spend. I just went to Paradise Island in September and spent 4 days and was able to visit so many places.
It has been an amazing thimg to see so many African content creators traveling to and exploring the Caribbean in the past few months. I_am_Marwa,Dee Mwango,African Tigress,Wode Maya and Miss Trudy.and Tayo Aina...you have brought some invaluable content and experiences to the diaspora, and the world, that has inspired other people to get on with the business of traveling, and experiencing the different peoples and cultures of the world..keep up the great work that you and many others are doing..and even though I am from a Caribbean island (St Thomas,USVI),I haven't been to many of the places you've been to, but I am even more excited now to vist them because of the experiences I've seen. Continue to do this good work, and bring the diaspora closer to unity..
I’m from the Bahamas living in Canada and you make me can’t wait to visit my own home 😅. This was beautiful to watch our history, culture and people are sooo rich ! Thank you for representing us 🇧🇸🙏🏽
Tayo congrats on your Bahamian vacation🐚 Prices seem to increase significantly since covid. I've seen less at Sheraton & British Colonial. Good you found the Fish Market & Fish Fry. There is a beautiful Zoo & Botanic Gardens near the Fish Fry. Andros, Bimini & Eluthera are great islands to explore, Grand Bahama is Touristic. Kalik is most relaxing🍺 Cable Beach, Nassau is beautifully famous🌊
Tayo will soon find himself a wife in one of these places, if you don't already have one lined up😄. Make sure you share that story with us too o. Love your journey and your videos.
Tayo, I had a good laugh all through this video especially when the man said Nigeria. Bahamas is beautiful, and it's beautiful you always have a good time everytime you travel to a new space. 😊😊
So happy watching this, very educational and real. That's what it's like in the Bahamas, visiting or living; the cost, the people, talking a lot of jokes and general friendliness, the stability. New subscriber here 😊 🇧🇸 🇧🇸🇧🇸
You act like that's some sort of anomaly, AND that there aren't many other races of people with disorderly and chaotic countries. 😂. China and India combined make up a HUGE chunk of the entire world and both deal with MASSIVE amounts of human rights atrocities, ginormous, crowded, chaotic slums, communism, and all manners of disorder. How about predominantly White Ukraine how much order do they have over there? I won't even touch the predominantly Arab Middle Eastern, or predominantly Hispanic Central and South American countries and the disorder and unchillness. I love how you single out Black ppl and give some underhanded compliment as if all other groups of ppl don't also have issues.
Yes Tayo visit as many Caribbean islands perhaps you can go on to Jamaica for Easter at the end of this month to perhaps the Dominican Republic,Barbados,Trinidad and Tobago,Antigua and Barbuda and not forgetting StKitts/Nevis and many more. You can look at the many activities or festivals of these islands and visit them. There is always something to do or go to.
I’m very surprised about the constant statement that Bahamas is super expensive. We used to travel there growing up as a bargain Caribbean destination. My family owned a hotel. Maybe things have changed. I’ve been to Atlantis. We stayed at a neighboring resort on paradise island that had a deal that you have access to the grounds of Atlantis. Trust me, it was awesome but not expensive trip. Then again we traveled in August/September back in those days. Because it’s a bit cheaper than high season.
You are perfectly correct. September is usually the slow season due to back to school. There is a resort across the street from Atlantis where if you stay there you have access to Atlantis grounds.
Keep up the good work I was touched by all your efforts and transparency when you said you were alone for your birthday and that you didn’t like nyc because of social anxiety issues Me too… I’m fascinated by all your travels young man and proud you have the courage and strength I’m way over 50 and use to travel everywhere and my favorite place is the Bahamas 🇧🇸 ❤ I traveled to Nassau and Freeport with my mother and friends from NYC many years ago ❤
I’m from the Bahamas and my late auntie was an Historian. She opened up the first African Bahamian African American African Caribbean Museum Heritage Research & Civil Rights Centre. Which is located in the ghetto where she grow up . My auntie helped with the protest in order for those folks to be able to sell on the fish dock. The Bahamas has a lot of great history , I love my culture .
It’s so good to see how things are done in other places, that’s one of the reasons why I want to travel the world. Seems impossible, but seeing you tour these places we saw only in movies is amazing.
I grew up in the bahamas, it was great, I'd recommend going to st Thomas on your next trip, the other half of my family is from there and as much as the bahamians love to chill and vibe the vi people love to party, go during carnival and you'll have a good time.
Hey Tayo, glad you’re getting to explore the Caribbean. I feel like the very first place you should have visited is the island that gave you the passport. Nonetheless, enjoyyyy! 😎
Brother, you did a great job showing your experience there. I am amazed to see how much Nassau and downtown have grown since I was last there in the 90's. The Bahamas is a beautiful Island and I had a wonderful time also visiting Paradise Island and taking tons of pictures on land while my Bff and the others snorkeled. The sea water is very powerful and miraculously HEALS!! I was HEALED there. Although you had the RIGHT plate of food, hopefully, your girlfriend or wife was there with you after that food settled. LOL I went to a few restaurants but ate regularly from the woman who sold meals from her car. The Bahamian food from her was the freaking BEST and she had a variety. I gave her more of my business because she was a true hustler. Unfortunately, I vowed never to GO BACK due to almost being abducted right out of my hotel by a local guy who visits our hotel functions often based on the Hotel Manager. Thank GOD for the front desk clerk who signaled the manager a guest was in danger. There was another episode where my Bff and I almost died in the bathroom near the dining room of our hotel. My Bff also almost died two more times, once on the banana boat, and jet ski. There were SUPER WEIRD experiences that terrified us both into NEVER returning and we never did. ( I was there for 6 days) Also, all of the locals are NOT NICE! That part was a big LIE! You must watch the waitresses in the restaurants where some are sweet as pie and the others you do NOT want handling your food nor drinks. The fresh Bahamian food, amazing drinks, amazing beaches, Islands, and powerful seawater are some of the greatest experiences to have BUT the Bahamas is a very highly demonic place. Just say when it was REPORTED that the singer Aliyah died there after her video shoot "Rock The Boat", I WAS NOT SURPRISED at all. Some of the people are really amazing I must say and I really really really miss the beach, fresh food, and cool drinks, but I'm just not interested. It's been 31 years. Smh LOL
Coming from a native Floridian, if you're gonna spend the money to visit the Bahamas you might as well fly into Miami and take a cruise, you can visit multiple islands, food is included and you can just enjoy the culture of each island
Or he can just get to know a native that would have hit him up with a nice affordable Air BnB and he could have stayed a whole week and enjoyed himself while renting a care for 7 days for 250 a week but you won’t know about that because your from Florida

@@Lou-vg7nh Your welcome 🤗. Have a blessed rest of the year and so on.
Thank you! Will do!
10-18 US?
@@YOYO-dv8gvBasically. Our dollar isn’t far from that value at all.
Thank you for putting the Bahamas 🇧🇸 on display.
I can't believe you came to my country! I've been "traveling" with you for a while but I live in "the second city" a different island. Hopefully next time you get an authentic, interisland experience. Truly appreciated this episode 😊
Please am planning of visiting the Bahamas please can we be friends so that I can ask you one or two questions
Planning on relocating to your country. Can we be friends so that you educate me on certain things

The whole Caribbean is like that..BEAUTIFUL ❤hope you will enjoy yourself when you reach here in JAMAICA..
why does it seem to be some resentment by JAs when a youtuber highly compliments the Bahamas...when youtubers highly compliments Jamaica you dont see a Bahamians talking bout "come to the Bahamas we pretty too.." allow other islands to shine because the Bahamas and other Caribbean countries are not well known like Jamaica everyone knows about Jamaica and thinks Jamaican culture is mainly the only culture of Caribbean...Jamaican motto is "out of many one people" let's act like it because we all came from Africa , but it seems everytime I watch a video about Bahamas and look in comment section there's a Jamaican trying to throw shade...
@@najma242yeah Ja is overrated. I don't think he meant to throw shade. I agree with you and him. Bahamas and the Caribbean are beautiful! This is about The Bahamas!
@@SuMa2184i'm just saying what i observed from watching other travel videos from youtubers theres at least one comment from aperson fro JA saying something about JA to make Bahamas look like we cant do it right...watched videos and seen many comments so i know
Jamaica is a highly polluted nation with crime.

Yes! Very much so.
No one does it better than Tayo, I am waiting for more episode of your Caribbean trip
As a Bahamian, watching this video has been an absolute thrill. So happy you enjoyed your experience. Come again soon.
Though I'm a Nigerian but I really love Bahamian people incase y'all see this I got sweet JESUS love for y'all.
Respect
We love you back!
Thank you for visiting my beautiful country
You will definitely love Jamaica Tayo. Safe travels through the Caribbean. Each one will be different and memorable experience. But you did an amazing capture of the beautiful Nassau, The Bahamas.
My trip to Bahamas 🇧🇸 checked ✔️ . Thanks Tayo for being my legs across the globe.
This is a heartfelt comment. Thank you so much!
I’m from the Bahamas 🇧🇸 thank you for such a beautiful video of my country ❤
This guy is the African goat of quality Travel content
Tayo at it again. He always delivers rich content effortlessly. Keep dem coming. Much love from Ghana 🇬🇭.
I’m from the Bahamas living in Canada and you make me can’t wait to visit my own home 😅. This was beautiful to watch our history, culture and people are sooo rich ! Thank you for representing us 🇧🇸🙏🏽
I love their accent! Dawg i really wanna visit rhe Bahamas, tour the entire Caribbean
Kalik is most relaxing🍺
Cable Beach, Nassau is beautifully famous🌊
This is the best Bahamas video I've ever watched. It is a much closer look at the local life
I love the Bahamian accent❤...So fluent and elegant
Thank you 😊❤
I love that there is zero waste when cooking with conch!
Much love to Show us Bahamas,,Greetings to All our family over there❤❤❤
No word can describe the feeling one gets from watching Tayo's vidoes
This has to be one of the top 3 videos from you I've watched, if not the best, enjoyed every second of it.
Oye tipo muchas gracias por el video .

Bienvenido a nuestras tierras..
I go to the Bahamas so many times back in the days it use to feel like second home. Longing for conch salad.😊😊😊😊🇯🇲💯
What a beautiful country, ill be there one day.
I love this video you show Bahamas from all different angles. For a person like me who hasn't been to Bahamas. I'm ready to go Bahamas rn
So happy watching this, very educational and real. That's what it's like in the Bahamas, visiting or living; the cost, the people, talking a lot of jokes and general friendliness, the stability.
New subscriber here 😊
🇧🇸 🇧🇸🇧🇸
good to see a predominantly black country that is orderly and chilled
Lol
The local really seems nice
I’m here at the moment and I have to say I’ve never met such nice people and I travel a lot. Think I’ll stay another week 😛😋👍
Thank you for the beautiful video. Proud to be a Bahamian. 242 Bahamas 🇧🇸 ♥️
The hibiscus tea is called Zobo drink in Nigeria
Tayo Aina in Bahamas Island. Having a wonderful good time.
Don't go to the Dominican Republic they don't like African looking people there, if you doubt me ask Dr Maponga or Antigua.
It’s called Comfort Suites Paradise Island.
Keep up the good work I was touched by all your efforts and transparency when you said you were alone for your birthday and that you didn’t like nyc because of social anxiety issues
Me too…
I’m fascinated by all your travels young man and proud you have the courage and strength
I’m way over 50 and use to travel everywhere and my favorite place is the Bahamas 🇧🇸 ❤
I traveled to Nassau and Freeport with my mother and friends from NYC many years ago ❤
I’m from the Bahamas and my late auntie was an Historian. She opened up the first African Bahamian African American
African Caribbean Museum
Heritage Research & Civil Rights Centre. Which is located in the ghetto where she grow up . My auntie helped with the protest in order for those folks to be able to sell on the fish dock. The Bahamas has a lot of great history , I love my culture .
Wow this is so so beautiful 🥺❤️❤️
Welcome back Tayo, I have been looking for you, is been long, I saw Ur recent content, tnk God, you are back to feeding us, with good content 🙌🙌👏.
It’s so good to see how things are done in other places, that’s one of the reasons why I want to travel the world. Seems impossible, but seeing you tour these places we saw only in movies is amazing.
Far from impossible. I do the same thing.
I grew up in the bahamas, it was great, I'd recommend going to st Thomas on your next trip, the other half of my family is from there and as much as the bahamians love to chill and vibe the vi people love to party, go during carnival and you'll have a good time.
Our sense of humour is like no other 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 watching my people shows how hilarious we are...Thank you so much for visiting our shores
Hey Tayo, glad you’re getting to explore the Caribbean. I feel like the very first place you should have visited is the island that gave you the passport. Nonetheless, enjoyyyy! 😎
Agree !!
I have been waiting for your come back. You motivate me alot brother. Hope one day I improve to your standards
Amazing 🤩 I enjoyed every moment 😊
As a Bahamian from Nassau, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Great coverage!
You can never enjoy the islands via a cruise.
Or he can just get to know a native that would have hit him up with a nice affordable Air BnB and he could have stayed a whole week and enjoyed himself while renting a care for 7 days for 250 a week but you won’t know about that because your from Florida
