As a proud Bahamian and teacher who has lived here my entire life, this is the first video I have ever watched about my country that I absolutely love and was so accurate!! You truly took the time to immerse yourself and do research and for that I thank you! You just got yourself a new subscriber! 🥳 Much love from the 242🇧🇸 Ps. Please visit again soon! 💙💛🖤

Thank you so much for this beautiful video of my country ❤❤❤❤
This video is not accurate?
New Providence is NOT one of the biggest islands. It’s the capital island.
@@abigailrolle5351exactly my thoughts, so many visitors travel to New Providence and say they have been to the Bahamas completely missing the point of it being an archipelago for many different islands each with their own individual flavors experiences, New Providence is one of the smallest, he should visit exuma or Eleuthera
As a native, born, bred and gone dead Bahamian thank you so very much for showing off our wonderful little country! You took the time to really try and show who we are and yet, there is still so much more for you to see! You must come back and explore some of our family islands.

Hey @Tayo Aina I'm from The Bahamas, we have a book written by Cleveland Eneas named Bain Town where he records some of the historical information he learned from his grandfather who was an Ex-slave. Many Bahamians are also Yoruba.
As an American who is 48% Igbo Nigerian and 8% Ghanaian, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I just returned from a 7 day Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. The Caribbean has a sense of peace that's hard to put into words.

You may want to consider moving here. I moved back from the USA and I'm loving it. You can easily forget about ray...sam if you move here.
We need builders here cause there is a shortage of houses. So you could be a master builder down here.
Sense of peace? Peace is found in God and Christ, not a destination
@@eve3363 Yes ! You can't find peace in vanity.
Not saying you are wrong. I agree with this 2000%.
Peace is found in God and through God 1st.
However, I also believe that one can find temporary reprieve and even peace in destinations.
Its why God created the nations of the world so we find beauty, splendor and even a certain amount of peace imo of course.@@eve3363

As a fellow Bahamian , who raised and still lives in Nassau , yes. This place is ridiculously beautiful and ridiculously expensive. Average price of food ( including fast food ) is like 10-18 dollars. The major reasoning behind this expensive land , we import 90 percent of our goods… so yes
10-18 US?

From what i am seeing here, this is arguably the most organized and developed island in the Caribbean, and thats because they understand the business of tourism more than any other Caribbean country.
No country should depend in tourism as a mainstay of their country
@@hillieduvalier💯
Thats mostly what the economy relies on, and being a tax haven. Soil does not lend itself well to agriculture and they dont want industries that might pollute the place. Topography is different in the Bahamas & Turks and Caicos than the Antillean arc of islands. You work with what you have!
What about Curacao ?
@@kerubel1436 That is pronounced 'Curasow'. Both are dutch in origin but in The Bahamas & New York where there is a Nassau county it is pronounced 'Nassaw'. a

You should visit Nigeria sometime
Hi
Never heard anything negative about your island.
I began traveling to the Bahamas in the 1990's and married a Bahamian and lived in Nassau for about 3 years in the 2000;s. My favorite part of the island, besides the food of course, was the water! I would stare at the ocean for hours. It draws you because it is so clear and beautiful. Coming from the Great Lakes in Ohio US, I have traveled throughout the islands but, to me, the Bahamas has them all beat when it comes to water views. As the country grows, I hope they do not lose that, as other countries have.
This guy always does a good job in his videos. Depiction of Nassau is good & honest and i like that he included a visit to Bain town which is basically a local ghetto. Most people never show that. Its not all picture perfect beaches & crystal clear water! His Namibia video and visit to where the ocean meets the desert was AWESOME!
Birdman is just a fun personality. The kinda person who gives joy to everyone around.
Imagine how he got Tayo to pay for the beer 😂; like it's his birthright 😂😂😂.
Also, his story about the lion was either fabricated by him or a friend told him that wild lie as a kid and he's believed it always 🤣
Exactly 😂😂😂😂He was so fun

Truth be told, Birdman is really a vibe. Dude said his friend got bit by a lion in Nigeria as if lions roam the area like mosquitoes. Laff wan kill me
I love Tayo he is keeping it real. $300 for a room is pricey for the average person. Some rich TH-camrs will not even flinch with that figure
I love the honesty. The funny part is he’s got one of the biggest TH-cam channels in Nigeria yet other Nigerian TH-camrs who don't have a quarter of his subscribers would swear $300 is cheap 😂.
It's superrrrrrrr expensive. I live in Nassau. I wanted to do a staycation...rooms are 500 per night. The hotel he's staying at is literally one of the worst. Old.
A lot of the Caribbean islands rooms accommodations are very expensive. Someone are US$300 to US$1,000.00 per night and more off and on tourist season. The Caribbean depends heavily on tourism and the rooms are very expensive.
I'm so glad you enjoyed our country! Yes we follow you on TH-cam and love your videos..please come back and visit us again..so many other islands to see..and yes it is very pricey but the experience is worth it!
Thank you! Will do!

Thanks for visiting our beautiful country. I've visited over 25 countries and can truly say that, It's Better In The Bahamas. Expensive but better. Our tiny but beautiful country depends on tourism and imports almost everything and we have to absorb high shipping costs and duties, hence the high cost of living. There are other factors as well but that's another story for another day. 🎉❤😊

why does it seem to be some resentment by JAs when a youtuber highly compliments the Bahamas...when youtubers highly compliments Jamaica you dont see a Bahamians talking bout "come to the Bahamas we pretty too.." allow other islands to shine because the Bahamas and other Caribbean countries are not well known like Jamaica everyone knows about Jamaica and thinks Jamaican culture is mainly the only culture of Caribbean...Jamaican motto is "out of many one people" let's act like it because we all came from Africa , but it seems everytime I watch a video about Bahamas and look in comment section there's a Jamaican trying to throw shade...

Thank you so much for showing us this amazing places 🥺🥺
Believe me it’s more affordable than what he spent but he took a route by using online taxi that ate up a lot of his money for 5 days you can go on Air BnB and get something just as nice and rent a car for 6 days for 250 /300 a week and you can really love yourself trust me the locals don’t spend $30 on a plate of food 😅 maybe $15 but he really only spoke to that taxi driver who over priced him from the airport to downtown and that might value $50 ride but I guess he took him around touring him
I worked in the Bahamas for 3 months! The locals there are so nice and accommodating!

I’m very surprised about the constant statement that Bahamas is super expensive. We used to travel there growing up as a bargain Caribbean destination. My family owned a hotel. Maybe things have changed. I’ve been to Atlantis. We stayed at a neighboring resort on paradise island that had a deal that you have access to the grounds of Atlantis. Trust me, it was awesome but not expensive trip. Then again we traveled in August/September back in those days. Because it’s a bit cheaper than high season.
You are perfectly correct. September is usually the slow season due to back to school. There is a resort across the street from Atlantis where if you stay there you have access to Atlantis grounds.
It’s called Comfort Suites Paradise Island.
