The contrast of the light pink and the black is a winning combination that's further enhanced by the sleek, clean look of the decals. Putting a roof on the back, and getting rid of that beacon on the top also gave this one more punch! The wheels are 20 times better than the ones this model came with! Another perfect 10, Jim. You never disappoint!
Lots of great ideas in this build, Jim. I like the covered bed and the very simple black on pink theme. That's very effective. Thanks for joining in on another FH build Big thumbs up from Switzerland. 🍁☕👍
Hahahaha cookies under a tarp-- I dunno, I’d still eat them 😂 I love this build! It came out so cool 💜 I’m glad you had a better experience with this casting this time too :) Love the interior, love the decals, love the black bumpers and side panels and the fun of it :) 🍪 💜 🚙
Now that I've had my first (and second, and third thank you very much) Crumbl Cookies, I can say I would eat them under a tarp, under a roof, under a tree, or anywhere I may see LOL Love you daughter!
Really sharp build, Jim. I hope it exorcises the ghosts of past frustrations. Very neat trick with the axle tubes on the end of the axles to hold the wheels on. Gotta try that some day. Really creative work on the decals and the paint scheme pops, as you noted. Thanks for the inspiration as always! 🤟🏼
There's a lot of pink coming out of the Silva workshop recently.....lol. Looks really clean Jim! I could imagine Crumbl using a cool delivery vehicle like this.
Thanks Jamie! There have been several - between this one, the Redline, and the Toyota that I added pink accents to lol Maybe it's all in an attempt to offset the earlier pink Slayer lololol
Thanks Morten! That's exactly the look I was going for with the build - it's just a cute little casting. I try to mix things up to keep it interesting, much like doing the Alvis Stalwart with a complete paint scheme and wheel change, but trying to have it keep the "toy" feel rather than a realistic look.
Thanks Ben! It would have been cool with white walls! It's already moved on to a new home (headed home with her after a visit this past weekend and she fell in love with it lol)
Love how that one turned out Jim. Thanks for the good pointers in the video. I'm on my 3rd set of real riders. They are great and now I know how to shorten them. I have been limited to what I can use them one since I don't like them on the Hot Wheels unless they fit right. Just need to find that axle tube. And that Chrome removal liquid for future customs. I just did a short on a custom Ferrari Enzo w/ real riders...turned out OK. Thanks for sharing and have a great week 😃👍👍🤙
Yep Jim...Super Clean is what I used lol Weird thing - when I bought my jug of Super Clean, I could only find it in the auto department at WalMart, not with regular cleaning stuff.
Thanks J & J! I really love the Real Riders boxed sets of wheels. More often than not, it seems I can find something I like from those to fit the build at hand.
cute decals, too. hope their cookies won't crumble away and end up on the floor. XD I once had an "american style" hot dog. by the second bite I practically had it all in my hands, because the "bread" had crumbled away into oblivion... :P
Thanks Lothar! I always laugh when I hear something described as "American style" (or another country for that matter) - heck, I can think of 20 different hot dogs off the top of my head that could be called "American style" and are wildly different from each other 🤣🤣🤣
@@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms yeah, it's a study in clichés. :) most germans have no idea what makes a real hot dog, despite some US series had them featured. I mean, we still think you guys make your toastbread out of rubberfoam and dye, can you imagine? ;)
@@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms Criminey! :0 but, speaking of murrican style, my old ride, a 1974 Ford Taunus, nicknamed "Knudsen-Taunus" because of the pronounced nose (even tho Bunkie was long since gone to greener pastures before he could influence european designs), could very well be pegged "American Style". they even planned to distribute it in the States via Mercury dealerships, but that plan fell through. too bad, I'd have loved to see what engines they'd stuff under the hood... XD
Awesome job Jim it turned out fantastic brother. You made me want a crumble cookie for sure.🍪
Thanks Brandon! Heck, I want one now too lol
Very nicely done, Jim. 🍪👌
Thanks Uri!

Thanks so much Andrew! I'm really happy with how it turned out...especially given how clueless I was on what I was going to do with the casting lol
It's Pinkalicious....Beautiful 🍪🍪mobile. Well done Jim👍👍👏👏👏
Thanks Jim!
Nice pink truck with good cookies
Crumbl cookies are fantastic, and so is this build
Thanks Dan! I just had my first Crumbl Cookie tonight...and I already fear I may be addicted lol
That‘s the way the cookie crumbles 🤪 good job! Looks realy good!
🤣🤣🤣 Thanks!
Sweet - in a number of ways!
Thanks Fraser!
That is legit! Blank and the pink is perfect. Thank You!
Glad you like it!
Pinkalicious!!!
LOL it can't get much more pink LOL Thanks Mr. Leo!
Love it..... Awesome looking in pink
Great choices from start to finish! I like your axel tube trick. I’m going to try that. Thanks Jim!
Thanks so much! The axle tube truck really does come in handy and is so easy to do.
Great video my friend, nice job..!!!!👍👍
Thank you!
Love it looks good 😊 thanks 👍 Lee
Thanks Lee!

Nice themed build.
Thanks! It was a lot of fun!
I dig it. And I agree on the black bumpers
Thanks Keith!
Nice build, details and paint job 👌 👍
Thanks Joe!
😄😄😄. Looks great Jim.
Thanks Charlie!
what you did with the back was a great idea. turned out awesome
Thanks Neil! I'm really happy with how the back ends up looking. I actually prefer it this way than open.
@@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms I agree much better look
Nice work, the pink is perfect. Topping off the bed was a neat idea, as was the decals for headlights.
Thanks! I love it when I can get away with using decals for headlights because the results are FAR more crisp than I can paint them lol
Great job Jim and looks awesome 👍
Thanks Mark!
@@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms you're welcome 😊
Superb work Jim, that's a nice paint finish excellent
Thanks so much Martin!
That's cool, I like the baby pink so unque.
Thanks! Having for decades thinking of RustOleum paint as strong, tough stuff, it seems so funny to find it in this pink color lol
I loved the work you did
I put the thumbs up

How you do the end of the axles with the little pieces glued on the end is the best way I've seen yet 😎👍💟
Thanks! It really does come in handy with a lot of these wheel swaps.
Nice.

Super Clean from Walmart will remove the chrome without messing up the plastic. I've heard oven cleaner also has the same effect.

Thanks Jody! It would make a great fire truck! You should give it a try!
The official vehicle of the Village People... 🤣
LOL All depends on the Village LOL
@@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms I was just bustin' yur chops, professor. It takes a mean ole boy to paint up a pink Wolksvagen. ✌🏻

Jim, was curious what you use for the axle tube?
For this set of wheels (the Real Riders), I used 1/16 aluminum tube
