You need to fix it , its broken , no texture and the seats are broken , please , it's a really good mod and i love it

The Herbie Variants have "Water Thrusters" for when you are in the water. you just have to map them in the Control Settings. I should know as I played around with the older versions A LOT.

I had a look again and it doesn't seem to have the thrusters. At least not in this version?
@@SimulatorAdventures My Mistake, they are now on by Default. You just go to Vehicle config > Tuning > Water Float and just crank up the power. 30MP/H+ on the water.

I made 10 Custom Herbie Configurations in the game and it can do a nice j-turn at a specific speed and a good drifter to.
I actually own a ‘76 beetle, and the mod is pretty realistic. It’s pretty hard to get an accurate clutch feel/bite like on the real car, but the power, gearing, and especially suspension feel very accurate. Granted my beetle is later than the mod, but beetles have always been pretty similar.

The yellow thing at 2:29 is to defog the windows from the inside. Car did not have air con. In the winter or rain this was the only help you could ask for just to wipe the windows.

At the time, I was very interested in the Antarctic Snow Cruiser, and later looked into the Antarctica 1! So I thought, "Hey, why not suggest this amazing piece of work for that BeamNG VW Bug mod!"

I remember one of the first BeamNG mods I messed with was a Herbie mod and it was like a self-healing vehicle. like if you dented it, the dents would pop themselves back out.

Not so funny fact: the vw Beetle/Käfer was called KdF-wagen (Kraft durch freude/power through joy) between 1938 and 1945 and the city of wolfsburg was called "Stadt des KdF-Wagens bei Fallersleben“ (City of the KdF-Wagen near Fallersleben).

They should have made that blacked out version Horace, that seems like a huge missed opportunity to me

over here in brazil beetles or "fuscas" are everywhere so its sick to see it in beamng

@@SimulatorAdventures Yea, idk how it even happened. I was using it, FFB stopped working, then it smelled like burning and it started smoking a bit, at which point I unplugged power and USB. Had my dad tear it down to discover the motors lit on fire. :(
I have a G29 now tho, which kinda sucks because I can't exactly use the buttons on my G27 shifter, but the shifter still works :D
fun fact: you can "open" the gas cap in the gasoline variants.

How you make that smooth and realistic turn forward movement with the first person camera? Expecially on the fly

It's a system you have to buy for PC called "TrackIR". I use the TrackIR 5 with TrackClip:PRO: www.trackir.com
It's awesome but the damaged model doesn't look too good, I guess because of the high-poly mesh. I wish more attention was put on these things, balancing look and physics engine's needs

Yes its safe and the mod creator even included a link next to the drive link which shows virus tests on the mod. Just to be extra sure!

It's called TrackIR and it's a system you have to buy for PC. I use TrackIR 5 with Track Clip Pro

When I downloaded the beetle I wasnt as impressed some details are not good at all like floating brakelines arent needed and axle tube looks like shit and behind the seat as well.
