- In a global debut at CES, Honda unveiled its Riding Assist technology, which leverages Honda’s robotics technology to create a self-balancing motorcycle that greatly reduces the possibility of falling over while the motorcycle is at rest.

Weeb Lord the whole point is that the front wheel shifts it's weight... so it might help you or hurt you but definitely something would change

It had to wobble like that to correct it's center of balance to stay upright.
TheStalker it stopped. then it moved steadily left and right, then it started to move again. this implies that it was looking in case of obstacles or people.
I'm gonna ride on my bike and let it chase me through the city traffic xD Or take it for a trip with us and put luggage on it :O Autopilot mule! Brilliant!

It's probably way out of the budget price range, but I'm glad that Honda is pushing the boundaries of the cycle world.
As a science nerd, this is awesome. As a motorcyclist... it doesn't feel right to the point of creepiness.
Gryoscopic effect is not good on motorcycles. Can cause loss of traction
Bashiru Ahenkora the same respond when Honda will use DCT on Africa Twin. But almost no one deny DCT is very good on off roads.
The bike isn't using gyroscopes; it's probably using reaction wheels. They can easily switch off once the bike gains speed.

This is great, finally we can take a motorcycle on a hike, while walking in the woods.
With this moto it would possible to be overrun by your own autonomous motorcycle :-)

I'm not even kidding, I'm looking for a way to carry large loads of about 600 lb on a slim profile, so it could follow you in the woods, and you could take things with you that would previously be unrealistic. So far I'm thinking broad airless wheels like the ones in a Mars rover on a modified version of a system like this. A slanted steel weight in the front and an expandable on rails truck bed in the back.

Amazing.Brilliant technology from Honda that will have many people considering the purchase of a two wheeled machine, who previously were a little nervous of the idea.
And you just stated the reason why while I'm not necessarily interested in it I find it to be a good thing(I like my traditional motorcycles, though mine has plenty of gadgets on it already)
