God I love the full metal Sigs. My first pistol was a P220 in 9mm made in West Germany with the American style mag release (not the heel release). I picked it up for $600 Canadian. Apparently they were from a contract for the Philippines police force but the deal fell thru. They sold them on the open market. Man I really miss that thing, should never have sold it ).

I have the full frame p6. Basically american sig 226. I got it cheap. I traded for it. Its my favorite hand gun. Even my wife's favorite. I actaully put it in my will for my.wife to get is something ever happen to me. It has never given me not 1 malfunction. Only downside is single stack. But the rest of it makes up for it.

Lunchbox had a German made p220 in .45 . It was his most regretted selling decision.

Jealous. Here I am in 2023 bored to death of polymer striker fired handguns eyeing a beretta 92fs or a sig p226.

You want a p226 without the price tag. Get a sig p6. German Police gun and its the same gun except single stack 8 round mag. It's my favorite gun even tho it's single stack

Damn I’ve got a P220 with rail that I bought right before Covid @ Sep of 2019 online used for $550 it’s in great shape and it looks exactly like this, I’m so glad I bought it and I’m not getting rid of it anytime soon.

I got a red box sig p229 in 40 cal it was a police officer trade-in, and they completely went through it and replaced most of the parts inside. And put new grips and re blued the whole thing. It was half the price of a new one, and it looks and shoots like a new one. A great buy for sure.

I love mine. It recoils much less than my other 45s. The way the frame soaks it up, even with the shock buffers on the HK they dont come close to Sig. The triggers break clean too. 30 years still going strong!

I think the classic Sig P-series will always maintain their value; they are well made and extremely reliable. In my collection I have the P220, P239, and M11A1. Personally, I drew the line at buying striker-fired, Polymer Sigs. But that’s just my preference…

I love mine. Have the full size p227 and the smaller p227 SAS "Sig Anit Snag" from sig custom shop. And got 6 of the tacops p227 14 round mags. Both have the SRT trigger, Upgraded stainless guide rods, upgraded spring kit, sig xray sights... love the p series of their hand guns. Took my first carry renewal shooting test with my full size and all but 1 round was through Center of the target.. EXCELLENT shooting and VERY accurate firearm..

Our shop used to do a lot of business with “Red Box” Sig pistols. Until Ron Cohen fired a bunch of sales managers and from then on they wouldn’t sell anymore to us. A few years later I went on a tour of Sigs NH factory and in a section of the facility they had massive storage racks full of Red Box guns. I continued to press our sales rep to sell us some and they denied having anymore. The more I pressed and tried going around the reps, corporate got upset with me. They have their select favorite dealers who get them now. But they were a bargain back in the day. I still own a few personally.

Everyone thinks that just cause it has 10 rounds or less that it would be "Cali compliant" unfortunately due to the Govinator we lost the ability to add any firearms onto the roster that were introduced after 2014. that being said most firearms that were on the roster fell off due to the costs to keep them on being too high. among other things. so from the 2500+ that were originally on we are now down to 818 most of which aren't in production anymore or are still produced but not in the California compliant versions.
