      Quieter on the roads than normal. Just keep my social distancing, did this anyway before this all started, take every I need from home.
      But have found the supermarkets seem to be busier, excuse to get away from home.😎

    thank you mate happy easter to you as well. glad you are not dealing with any traffic and hopefully get smooth runs all over the place. enjoy it while it lasts because at some point it will be back to normal. its nice to be working because time goes quick and with the restrictions its hard to do anything even if you get the money and stay home.

      Traffic is great, as you say will not last.It is good to be working one thing less to worry about. It would be good just to get back to being normal. Have a happy easter, take care.

    nice braking there at 1:48 - he wasn't stopping. i do that often in my car even at roundabouts to avoid accidents even though you would be in the right - vehicles need to give way to those already on the roundabout which you would have been had you gone

    Hey Rod, just a simple out of the box question, how's the people of Australia viewing the "asian" community due to the virus? I'm asian and always loved to travel to Australia from Singapore. But recently I'm seeing lots of flak for the Asian ethnicity due to the virus. Its like the whole world believes that the virus came from the race itself. Although it does trace back to mainland China. It makes the world believe every person of Asian ethnicity are to be blamed.
    I just hope to return to Australia for my next trip. Love for the environment and the trucks 🚚
    Peace and stay safe , from 🇸🇬 Singapore

    • @PWD65
      @PWD65 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's only a tiny % of the population who thinks that way. Most of us Aussies don't care what race you are, everyone is welcome as long as you don't cause any trouble or burden our economy

    • @australiantruckerrod1070
      @australiantruckerrod1070  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi. Richard is right, there's a small minority that are racist no matter what is going on in the world. Have seen about 3 news reports of someone targeting Asians. When this is all over, the tourism, airline and hospitality industry will be grateful if everyone comes back.
      Unfortunately there is assholes in the world, that will never change.
      As Richard mentioned, respect the country you are in, everyone is welcome.🙂👍

    Hi Rod,we have a lock down in England as well, similar thing to what you have there.I notice you have two fans in the cab does that mean you don't have air conditioning ??

    • @australiantruckerrod1070
      @australiantruckerrod1070  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dave. The fans are old school equipment, I have on two occasions used them, with the air conditioner, they did a good job circulating the cooler air around the truck. They were useless in the early kenworth with AC not working, or even if it was, on a 43-celsius day at Burke NSW. The heat coming up from the motor push the temp in the cab to 48 -50 celsius. The good old days, fun but don't want to go back.
