    Me & my family was exactly there in Morgan 1 week later after you took this drone footage my brothers & I took our 91 year old mother there for a late birthday picnic. Her birthday is on 4th Dec, see that u took this on the 5th Dec. WOW see how much more it came up in a week we came there on Sunday 11th December. 😮 must share this with my family

      Most of the township is way above, except the waterfront shacks and caravan park.

      I went to the service station in Morgan and the attendant was definitely high.

    Is the flood normal in Australia? I think this continent was always dry.

      This is on the extreme side. 3 super wet years in a row after the extreme drought finishing in 2019 bushfires that made world news. This is eastern Australia's large inland river which is now in a town receiving the extreme volume of water that fell a number of weeks and months back further upstream. Many records have been broken Along the way but in 1954 or so there was an equally big height recorded.
      It has been very costly and stressful for thousands. Crops, animals, homes.
      Australia mostly has lower rainfall averages and is dry, slipping into drought easily. it floods also, less regularly and so is less tolerant to large downpours which have occurred due to two weather systems in the indian and pacific ocean.This is unusual.

      With el nino and la nina everything is normal.

    i feel your pain-- I've been flooded out completely-- TWICE (different areas).. nothing good one can say- except bless you and good luck coming through it..
