As we embark on the War And Peace Tour with my brother, Immortal Technique, I'm excited to release a new musical project. "Left In The Deck" is a collection of 10 raw, grimy recordings made in basements and hotel rooms around the world. This demo-tape style release was produced entirely by Jake One. It hasn't been polished up for the market or cleaned for the radio. These songs were left in their original demo form and are intended only for my family of direct supporters. The beats are grimy and I feel like this is some of the best rhyming I've ever captured on tape. I want to release this directly to you.

Brother Ali shared a lot of techniques inside the book called *HOW TO RAP*, along with *HOW TO RAP 2*.
Brother Ali says this as one of his insights in them:
"I think people should record themselves, if you’re able to do
that, and really use it as a way to develop what you’re doing.
When we record the rough versions of songs, we record those
at [producer] Ant’s house on an old cassette four-track, and
that’s when we work that kind of stuff out - we’ll just try playing
with the delivery of things."
How to rap has so much input from so many indie artists... was definitely worth the read.
The Brother has been my favorite ever since I heard him, consistently slanging at a level that's unheard of, the truness is what gets me! Best of all time!

His work with ANT is usually what I like the best, heavy and fierce... Seems like most of his with jake1 is more mellow and mature, this throws that out the window! Gritty and grimy as my feet!

not many people can get away with releasing a cd of demos but Brother Ali pulled it off and it's fantastic. I listen to this as much as I listen to any other album.
