- We drive today on nice smooth roads both near the College Park area and in the Baltimore-Washington International airport area after a trip to the airport.

10 year old and sounds so smooth and refined. Testament to the fine German engineering you can't hardly hear the engine or gear changes just the diff!

This bus seems a quite a bit quicker than your J4500! Compared to a transit bus, I love driving motorcoaches because they give me a bit of Zen even after doing an 8-hour shift... it must be that deep engine rumble. Beautiful U of M coach, because holy smokes, it comes in black too! Trying to squeeze out more power with the PERF MODE ON at 1:46?
It sure moves. Everyone who has driven both vehicles can agree that this is the quicker of the two. And it's definitely relaxing too haha. And of course, im gonna get all the power I can!
@@eugew23 Huh, I wonder why Maryland Shuttle UM stopped buying Setra coach buses. Nothing wrong with the bus and the lack of noise seems like a bus driver’s dream come true

What does the "MODE" button do on this coach?
According to @texasabbott, "according to an Allison vocational motorcoach manual, "MODE ON" button on the B500 makes the transmission shift at 300 rpm higher when going from gears [4 to 5] and [5 to 6] only. It makes no difference in shifting from gears 1 to 4.'
