I also remember alot of people were pissed but not me I thought it was a beautiful ending for them, a perfect ending. It stayed true to their characters especially Elijah's. Sorry for commenting again on your edit but WOW. the music, the scenes, the dialogues are just PERFECT. the relationship between Elijah and Klaus is something very special and in my opinion not even Damon and Stefan can beat this. Elijah was always the anchor that hold Klaus, he was always there and i know Elijah said in the last episode that he didn't accomplished in a thousand years what Hope did in 15 but look at that RELATIONSHIP. Even when Klaus daggered him he stood by his side. Klaus tried to save him in the 5. season by not giving him his memory back, by not causing him the pain of Always and Forever all again and at the end he died with him, by his side. There were 2 reasons Elijah wanted to die: 1. Hayley and 2. Klaus. And i know y'all keep fighting over who is endgame and who made Klaus a better man, but it's clear for me that the ones who made him become a better person are Elijah, Hayley and Hope (maybe Camille and Caroline). Every shipper wanted his ship to be endgame what i can really understand but i just wanted Elijah and Klaus together AND ALIVE (shootout to jp for ruining the show) and the dance that was promised to us and never happened (again @jp) so basically i got my klaylijah endgame (not the way I wanted but yeah) thats all hope you can understand me throughout this messy writing - my apologies:) EDIT: klaylijah = Klaus, Hayley, Elijah Oh and i wanted Klope to be endgame too

Klaus obviously does it for his daughter, but I feel like once Elijah was Elijah again, he saw how much he'd hurt his family when he wasn't himself and needed to do it himself. He had promised to always protect Hayley and he didn't when he most needed to.

I don't agree. Yes maybe Klaus was his number 1 priority but Elijah also have always been there for Rebekah. Now I agree maybe with Kol he wasn't that close, I wish we would have gotten to see their relationship grow better.
Elijah couldnt leave klaus even in death bc the only thing he ever did was protect him and he didnt know if he would be safe in his next journey. Klaus could die leaving Rebekah because he spent his whole life protecting her and knew she was finally safe.

They need to make a Marvel Champions Style game for this TVD/TO/Legacies Universe. With every character possible of attaining and you fight against each other. You could get like average fighters like “Stefan, Damon or Enzo” you could get Strix Members, or some of the Hybrids Klaus sired in season 3, Witches, Kai Parker. The best players would probably be The originals, Marcel Lucien, the Hollow and Dahlia. You could attain different spells and weapons, so you could KO somebody like Klaus but you could only “fatality” him if you owned a white oak stake. And if a player owns Klaus and they get White oak stake they need to find a resurrection spell to bring him back. They’d get this from Drops or rewards for winning quests. Some people could have special abilities like Stefan being more powerful against, humans, witches and werewolf’s because he’s a ripper. And of course Hybrids having the bite over vampires. I’m telling you if somebody designed this game everyone who loves Vampire diaries would play it if it was done well
