      Hi Steve! Thank you for all your incredible videos. Since I was a child I was always absolutely fascinated by B&O systems. Recently I inherited from an uncle a Beomaster 4400 pluged to a Beogram 1700 turntable and to a pair of Celestion Ditton 33 speakers that I absolutely adore. I would like to connect the system to my smart-tv and also to stream music - what lead me to your video. But now as Chromecast audio was discontinued I do not know how to do it and what cable to buy. Can you help me please? Thank you! Best, Patrícia Napoleão

      Hi, thanks for your kind words! Yes, I can help! Please purchase either Apple Airport Express, Google Chromecast Audio, Audiocast M5, Tibo Bond Mini or any Bluetooth receiver for wireless music from your phone to the B&O system (sorry I don't sell these devices, only the cables!)
      This cable will allow you to connect any of the devices listed above to the Tape socket on the back of your B&O system:-
      ‪soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/67-298-minijack-to-aux-in-ipod-to-beosound-beomaster-beocenter-using-aux-din-socket.html#/2-length-1m‬
      Please set the phone volume to maximum when connecting to the B&O system - this is normal when using a portable music player with a home audio system due to the low output levels produced by the phone.

    Hello thank you fir your video. I bought this same set today
    It came with Beovox S45_2speakers
    I hadn't realised the set was as old as I've now discovered from you and sincerely hope it is as good as you say. It was a relief to see your face light up when you spoke about it. I had only wanted a deck but wound up buying this. I'm hoping it works and gives me as much pleasure as yours did and will. I'm looking forward to seeing your next video
    Not sure I even know how to attach the speakers on this but wish me well otherwise you'll have a lot of spare parts coming your way.
    Thank you again for your encouraging video I thought I'd bought a relic but seems I've got a jewel.

    Absolutely love it! I should be receiving my new Beocenter 7002 this weekend, which was also my first record player. Also scored some great condition Beovox S60's yesterday for just 20 euro's! Can't wait to put those together! Also can't wait to see the update video's on your "little" gem over there! :D
    I'd go with either the RL6000's or S60 and up for your system! Both would sound amazing and aren't that expensive.

      @@soundsheavenly Excellent choice! I love the RL6000's. They were my first good set of B&O loudspeakers, had them on the Beocenter 7002 and sounded absolutely amazing! I was very tempted to pick up a pair for 75 euro's but simply don't have the room to place them properly. If you have the chance, go for it! :D

    Must admit I had never seen or heard of the BC3300 before today. It looks really lovely and I’m sure you will have a lot of enjoyment restoring it. It appears to be the forerunner to the slightly later BC7000 series and I’m guessing shares the same dimensions and possibly even some internals. I still have a 7002 and it still gets a lot of use. For speakers it came with S80’s which sound great and would recommend them for your 3300. Please keep us updated with any progress on the restoration. Thanks

      Thanks, the Beocenter 7002 is a great system. I will try to get a listen to the S80 speakers, they certainly look nice and they would be the right era to match the look of the 3300 system!

      Sounds Heavenly Hi Steve. I expect you have already looked but I have just done a search on TH-cam for Beocentre 3300 (plenty of time to kill under lockdown🙂) and there was 1 video posted. To be honest it wasn’t a particularly good quality video and looked a bit messy but I’m just wondering that it may be worth contacting the person who posted it to see if he still had it and if he had any tips (or spare parts). Lots of videos for Beomaster 3300 etc but only 1 for BC3300. I admit I’m intrigued by this machine as I have never heard of it before.

      Sounds Heavenly Hi Steve. I was just browsing out of curiosity for ‘Bang and Olufsen’ on Gumtree and came across an advert for a BC3300. The write up doesn’t say much about the condition and the photos aren’t great ( and upside down??) but it does appear reasonably intact and to come with a tone arm cartridge- I’m guessing either MMC 3000 or 20EN? It’s been on there for 2 weeks and it’s in Bath . Not sure if it’s of interest to you for spares but thought you might like to know. I did a separate gumtree search for Beocenter 3300 and it came up straight away. Thanks

      @@soundsheavenly I had the same problem with one of my 2 Beocenter 7002's. There was also another weird looking capacitor which "exploded". Lot of work there but well worth it if it is up and running! Beautiful devices! The output on the 3300 you have there is just crazy though!
      Same goes for the doors that don't open with the button, doesn't work on my 7002's either. No clue how to fix it yet.

    I do have a B&O Beocentre 3300, which is fully working, although the middle aluminium door flap doesn't track upwards in a straight direction. I think a hinge on one side is damaged. I do have a Beocentre 9000 as well, which is available for parts as the front dark smoked glass panel is damaged. It does or did work.

    I'm sure you already figured out everything... but my gosh... please use the 80s Beovox range... The S55's are my personal favorites. The Redlines IMO, are just kinda "meh" sounding lol. Whatever you do, make sure you replace the crossover capacitors, it really makes all the difference in the world to the sound quality, even if it's only a subtle difference!

    Beovox M75 or M100's would sound amazing. The best in period speakers, in my opinion, would be a pair of M70's on tulip stands. Might not be easy to find but worth searching out. I was only into the post 1980's equipment until Tim Jarman introduced me to the 1970's systems. The M70's hold their own against Lab 5's, bold statement I know. Different sound but still unmistakably B&O.

    • @soundsheavenly
      @soundsheavenly  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      David Innes Thanks! I need to hear the M100s, I gather they are very highly regarded but I haven’t heard them yet.....

    • @davidinnes9678
      @davidinnes9678 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@soundsheavenly I have M100's & M70's. Both sound amazing but I prefer the tighter base of the M70's. I have newer speakers too, 8000's and Lab 5's. The 8000's can sound a little bright when paired to older equipment. The Lab 5's work with just about anything.
      In my opinion the speakers made at the same time as the amp tend to sound best. I use a Beomaster 4400 with a Beogram 4000 for the 1970's speakers. Agree with you about bringing them up to date. I use a Mk2 Apple Airport Express to send Airplay 2. Works flawlessly with my other B&O stuff

  • @pete1927
    @pete1927 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What would consider to be B&O”s best audio centre to date and their best speaker? I miss an audio system from them that works successfully , digital storage, analogue input, streaming services including the ability to broadcast Bluetooth or Airplay to other units including headphones! I want a stand-alone unit without reliance on other devices.... how hard can that be. I have a Beosound 5 generally great but no headphone connection and unable to work wirelessly to there range of speakers which must of been on the next test bench at the time! The focus on omni speakers does my fruit in.

    • @soundsheavenly
      @soundsheavenly  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Best audio centre? Beosound 9000 if you don't use vinyl records, or Beosystem 7000 if you do. Both offer headphone and speaker outputs, multi-room and timeless styling. Best speakers? Beolab 5 or Penta for me, but some prefer Beolab 50 or 90..... Check out this review and please let me know what you think: th-cam.com/video/RUVGQSU8FBE/w-d-xo.html

      Thanks, glad you like the videos! Although the Balance is a great speaker, I still have too much love for classic B&O speakers to be able to find space for the Balance.......so far!
