Thanks bro. I still have more things to add to it. The Bixpy is pretty awesome. It's nice to get back in at the end of a long day. With this setup, I can use my Miragedrive at the same time.

Nice setup. How much it all weight? My kayak is a beginner for under $200 but I like the fact that I can carry it anywhere. Of course it not as comfortable.
Thanks. The hull weight is 85lbs and the rigged weight is 103lbs. I'm not sure how much my gear weighs, but I'd say it's pretty heavy 😁. I'd like to get lightweight kayak I can carry into remote places.

did you ever to an on water comparison between your 2016 and 2019 Outback. I have a 2018 and considering getting a 2023.

Well equipped Hobie!! I reelly enjoy looking @ how each water craft has been outfitted to suit the particular needs of the angler....The Jet makes traveling on the Chesapeake a lot easier....Xcellent job of outfitting the Yak!!
It was a lot of fun rigging my kayak. I still have a lot more to add to it. It's cool to see how everyone rigs their vessels for their needs. I change my depending on what I'm fishing for or if I'm crabbing. The Bixpy Jet has been great so far. I've had it for a year now, so I'll be doing a review on it soon. Thanks for stopping by. Do the boondocks wheels and extension arms fit inside the front hatch of the 2019 outback?

Nice setup overall. I have the same 7ti with Total Scan. You don’t have to remove the YakAttack rod holders to adjust them, just push the lever, don’t pull it open.
Thanks for watching. The 7ti is pretty nice with the TotalScan transducer. You're right about pushing the lever. I don't know why I forgot about that at the time. Thanks for clarifying that. They are really nice rod holders.

My 2016 Outback was red as well. I'm planning to get the 2020 PA12 360, but it only comes in two colors. It would have been cool to have all 3 in red. I have to sell one of my Outbacks soon. Thanks for watching. I appreciate your support.

do you use the steakout pole thru the scuppers?
I tie it off to a rope or use one of my rod leashes and tie it off to my h-rail. I'll try using it in a scupper hole the next time I'm out.

Thanks bro. Your boat is pretty nice. It goes faster than my kayak 😁. The RAM mounts are awesome. I have them in both of my kayaks. I don't like keeping my electrics on my boats, so it makes it easy to add and remove.

The new Outback comes well equipped from the factory. I still have my 2016 if you would like to try the new seat.

Awesome. It would be cool to do a mothership trip with Pete to the Islands and fish from kayaks. We could get way back in those cuts. I think you will love the new seat. We'll have to plan a trip when it gets warmer.
Nice video. You have certainly individualized it to your liking and use. That's what is great about kayaks. How do you get back in in case of flip-over? You seem to have both sides with various rigging? Out here in California, we need to have our motorized kayaks registered, how about over there? Glad you're having a good time. Is it as dry as your previous generation Outback?
It was a lot of fun rigging my kayak. I'm not done yet, so stayed for more rigging videos. I haven't practiced getting back in yet. I will when it gets warmer. The 2019 Hobie Outback is a very stable kayak, so it would be really hard to flip. I typically don't go out in conditions that would cause me to flip, but it could still happen. We do have to register motorized kayaks in Maryland as well. That topic is actually what my next video is on. The 2019 Outback is a wetter ride in chop than the older ones. Water comes over because it cuts through waves instead of rolling over them. This is also why they are faster than the older ones. Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate it.
That's a really nice set up you have there. Those 2019s have a lot more than my 2018 has as far as being accessory ready. Great boat!
Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate it. The 2019 is an awesome kayak. You don't have to do much to it once you get it. I added quite a bit to my 2016, so it could be similar to the 2019. It all honesty, I'm still happy with my 2016. The new and coolness factor of the 2019 is nice though 😁
