If you have the experience and skills as a software engineer than you can also earn more than data scientist but again depends upon where you are working. If you are working at company like google with experience and at a good post like L9-L10 (one of the highest post of software dev. at google) than you can earn like 200m+ annually ( including bonus and stocks).But a good experience of 10-15 years are req. 🥰

To be good in data science you should have good knowledge in linear algebra, calculus, linear programming, and all. Do not say that only programming will do.
The content here is what a programmer does. Not data scientist. For a data scientist having good knowledge on domain is a must. Whether it is logistics, healthcare, genome, telecom,byou need to have domain knowledge. This no one tells you. Without domain knowledge you will not know what is your Target, and what does it means.
