Just remember stock tires wear 20% faster and you lost 30% of it the minute you drive it off the lot vs a year old same same for 30% less loss with new tires .
I’m 16 trying to buy a 2005 mustang gt for $10,995 from a dealership I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I want to sell to put as a down payment but I don’t have any credit so I’m not sure what to do because I don’t have the money to buy it outright and I’m gonna need to finance it but to finance it it’ll be around $200 per unless I can sell the jeep first so I was wondering if you had any tips for what I can do in this situation
Dude! You bought your fiance a car? Never start out big! What you are going to do for your tenth anniversary? :P Always start small and increase slowly. Always leave wiggle room!
Hey, I’m local to you and a former and very experienced car salesman here (both internet and on the floor) This is a good and comprehensive guide to buying a car well. A couple of things I’d add: when submitting an internet lead, if you don’t get a response or you get a canned email template response, not a good sign, even if the dealership has the exact car you want. You want to work with a dealership that personally responds to your inquiry in a timely manner. Second, being nice (and dare I say complimentary) to your salesperson is one of the most powerful tools in your arsenal (second to the words “I will buy right now if _____”) You don’t have to show emotional attachment to a specific vehicle, but you do want to express to the salesperson a reason you want to do business with THEM, even if like you say you never see them again.
If you do go in to personally see a used car, check the panels lining up, colors matching correctly and make sure the steel is stamped the same from the factory. You may get a large discount for a car that may have had body damage repaired. Thanks Brad for all the tips and have an ideal day!
Brad, great video. As someone who has made a good living for the past 11 years working in the finance office at auto dealerships, I'd like to make one suggestion. If you are financing, get pre-approved for a loan from your lender, but give the dealership a chance to match or beat it. You will get a better deal if you are financing through them. Cash deals or outside financing is the death of a dealership. The dealer will get a kickback from the lender for the amount that's financed. Average is 2%. If you're $500 away from your number, but you agree to finance your $50k car through them, they will make an additional $1k and make the deal. We take deals everyday from customers who are financing vs cash buyers. It also opens up the chance for the dealership to sell GAP insurance on the loan which isn't an option if you finance elsewhere. If only there was an app to determine who the best lender was in your market.....
In Middle East for every single car they always have full options lol. Even for Toyota Corolla comes with full options lol. Even my megane 4 Rs 280 edc came with the fullest of options as standard. And that’s it. All cars in Middle East have full options. Only engines vary like suvs from v6 to v8 but everything else in all car companies, they come fully loaded from outside and inside ! Only engines are choosable :).
Thanks Brad! These were the strategies I used to buy my R35 in June (end of Q2) and I was able to get them down 5k on an already great deal! I also called my local Nissan Dealer to have them source me the car, once I had the VIN I was able find the actual seller and deal with them directly skipping the additional "finders fee" they were trying to add to the price... work smart, do your research, make them deal with you... you're the one with the money, that means you call the shots!
One additional step on my part is I acknowledge the salesperson and tell them that if I buy it is their sale, then I speak to the sales manager directly and negotiate with him/her. It has served me well in years past. I then make sure the salesperson I spoke with gets the sale (have a long history of sales at one point in my career life so I let the salesperson know that, they deserve some respect.
The FRS I wasn cost $18 thousand but I want the dealership to bring it down to 15 or 16 thousand with taxes including Bc the car doesn’t existed anymore, u think it would work
This video was long overdue. It was brilliantly well thought out, with clear examples. I love the negotiations phases! But you HAVE to do your research. Know the vehicle better than any junior sales rep would. Start with a proper ‘reconnaissance’ mission. It can be a war out there for the inexperienced. And NEVER fall in love! (with an vehicle)... there is always what you wanted, another great deal... more ‘Ideal’....tomorrow. Thanks for the video and have another wonderful weekend.
Thank you for the very informative video. How would do a pre purchase inspection or hookup a code reader to help negotiation if you negotiate online? Any light you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Really enjoy your videos!! Great job! Let's not forget the "holdback" incentive dealers receive from the manufacturer,,, 3% on annual sales adds up real quick! Thank you again and please keep up the great work!! Keep us all posted on the new eco diesel Wrangler. Best! 😎👍
This can’t be true ... what?? A TH-camr with a real life hacks tip who not up sellingyou into buying a 5 g secret group class hahaha thanks bro from NYC BROOKLYN
Brad danger. Please can you talk about Porsches Efuel. Its a synthetic fuel that is co2 neutral. It is made from fusing hydrogen from the water and co2 from the air to make hydrocarbons. Its completely sustainable.
@@IdealMediaChannel It can be fun. I actually sold cars for about a year after I separated from the Army. My only issue is the blatant dishonesty that tends to transpire often with dealerships.
Don't know if this will work every time, BUT I got a Toyota dealer to BEAT my credit union's financing rate by 2% by playing hard to get! I told 'em I didn't need financing. They took it personally and got me a really low rate. I've done that twice. The second time wasn't as low, but it was still a great deal.
very confidence building as this is close to what I've done/do...only concern with forums is people sometimes brag about paying something so low it's tough to believe.......but all you stated is on the money....
@@IdealMediaChannel and i am absolutely in love with the 240 Z and i also like the 240 sx aka silvia s 13 and the ford 1965 mustang fastback 😂 and jup im in the facebook group
I used to be a salesperson so forgive my bias, but I really don't like this "don't let the dealer make money" vibe. I think the message should be don't let yourself pay more than you need to, rather than don't let others make money off you, because that's quite literally how the economy as a whole works. If they make no money off you, they don't have a business. The rest of the video and message were fine, I just dislike the us vs them thing going on here

I’m looking into a 2014 Camaro SS at a Mercedes dealer, do you think these tips will still work on a vehicle that’s not one of their regulars?
Thanks for all the great tips. Do you think this method works for used vehicles in our current inventory shortage?
I asked F-150 and they mark up 10k and up
I don't think this works with teslas but if you can find a way to do it for them I'm all ears
