Thank you the Norwegian Pearl videos as I will be onboard for a relocation cruise soon. I have opted for an inside to save money on this trip...but it doesn't look great after having a balcony on my last cruise. Agree about the Panama canal it is amazing. I spent the whole day on deck snapping away briefly pausing only to get something to eat. Costa Rica looks incredible. I really enjoyed Aruba but I took the 4x4 coastal trip to the lighthouse. Excellent uploads & insight many thanks again !
Yeah, it’s definitely not a space you’ll want to spend your free time in, but for us it did offer significant savings and allowed us to afford this itinerary over the holidays. I haven’t been on a relocation cruise yet, keen to try one. Thanks for the comment, and I hope you have a great time!
@@daradventures Well relocation cruises or transatlantic cruises are a real bargain but there are lots of sea days..going Barcelona to Miami 😀my fourth transatlantic & not hit a storm as yet haha. Thank you again + just subscribed !
My Panama Canal cruise was cancelled by NCL so I am in the process of booking a 12 day cruise not including Colombia or the Canal. In the Pearl which I have been on before, but my brother and i will be in an aft-facing penthouse suite which is what we had booked for the Canal cruise on the Jade. The canal area is having draught problems.
limon is a lil paradise even though the slaves got dropped there 80 years ago1 was in San Jose with our group on a bus for a day trip saw some Great surfing Spots
I've been through the Panama Canal 3 times with the US Navy in 1982 and 83. First time was what is called a Unitas cruise which went through the Canal and down and around South America and through the Magellan straits and up the east coast to Uruguay and Brazil then over to Africa to visit at least 3 towns there. The ither 2 times through the Canal were for Special Operations at the Gulf de Fonseca. Watching El Salvador and Nicaragua fight it out.
I know, it looks incredible. Whenever I do make it back to Colombia to dedicate a full trip to exploring, I will absolutely spend some time in Tayrona!!
Fun! The Bliss is a great ship. Once you get farther south it will be warm, but the first few days out of LA may not be so definitely bring some layers to keep warm just in case - may be a bit chilly on the decks and at night, even as far south as Cabo. Winter weather can be a bit hit or miss in terms of the nice heat. Norwegian ships are pretty casual, so no need to bring anything fancy. People generally dress nice for dinner, but nothing too crazy and you’ll still see people in the dining room in their daytime outfits and sandals. Dress for comfort when you’re out exploring the ports, since you may do a lot of walking and want to enjoy yourself!
Thank you for sharing your trip. I'm going on the same cruise on the pearl next month. I do have one question did the ship sail through to cross over the Panama Canal? I booked an excursion to cross but if the ship sail through I don't want to waste my money.
If you’re doing the same exact itinerary, then no, the ship does not cross all the way through. It goes halfway through the canal, and then once the first set of locks are over it turns around in Gatun Lake and returns back to the Caribbean side. If the excursion you booked takes you all the way to the pacific side and back, then it is a different experience.
Great video. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Thanks for watching!

An aft-facing penthouse suite sounds like a dream! Why was your cruise canceled, due to the drought issues you mentioned?
Limon, Costa Rica. You will need to rent an apartment for a few months. Is what I need to hear. Also Catagena Columbia. Thanks for the review.
Both of those places are certainly worth spending plenty of time in - loved them both. Hoping to someday soon spend much more time in each.

They wasted the space up top with Basketball. A dozen hottubs would be a better use.
Haha yes, these ships can always use more hot tubs!
