Been watching Dore for about 3 years. Most consistent streamer bar none. One doesn't have to agree with everything he says, but his coherence, his consistency is top drawer. Ironically he is more self critical and honest than the vanilla news commentaries.

I am ashamed to say that this is the FIRST Joe Rogan podcast I have watched all the way through. I will definitely be watching more all the way through instead of just clips.
Sometimes he gets a little ahead of himself and doesn’t look into things. Like the water thing in Idaho. He jumped on a narrative and then luckily had a guy on to clarify it. He did the same thing with Saudi Arabia ending the use of USD to purchase oil. That was a fake thing and he didn’t look into it past a Twitter post and made a whole segment on it. That whole thing was made up. But he is still the man and I watch his clips every day. I’m never lucky enough to catch his streams but I’ve thought about subscribing to his service to start catching up on all of them.

I'd rank Dave Smith up there with him, although I guess you could argue Dave's content is more commentary than journalism. The distinction is very blurry - Jimmy does focus more on exposing news stories most people aren't aware of, but he does so by bringing on the journalists who are reporting on it, so you could argue he's more platforming those journalists than doing "journalism" himself... But I don't think how you define it really matters either way, what matters is that they're exposing people to the truth they wouldn't otherwise know about.

As a person that doesn't live in the US, it's frightening the current state of US politics (both internal and offshore). We all know that it affects the whole world and there's nothing we can do about it
I have ocean front property and our county council has increased our set backs which makes it impossible to build back. The entire ocean front will be displaced. Our local government is corrupt and their friends are milking the system. We had so many prior fires to learns from and a big one back in 2018 that almost took Lahaina. They did nothing to prepare and why no emergency roads were opened and no emergency sirens were used. All the people who died lived in a neighborhood full of families with older people. They found a kid holding his dog and he has already been forgotten like the older people who also lost their lives. Thank you for keeping this in the news because we need help.

His views simply evolved as things happened in the world, as did mine. A huge turning point was the 2016 election and the aftermath with Russia-gate. He did not become a Trump supporter or stop being liberal, but his recent audience doesn't understand that.

Been watching Dore for about 3 years. Most consistent streamer bar none. One doesn't have to agree with everything he says, but his coherence, his consistency is top drawer. Ironically he is more self critical and honest than the vanilla news commentaries.

That whole thing was made up. But he is still the man and I watch his clips every day. I'd rank Dave Smith up there with him, although I guess you could argue Dave's content is more commentary than journalism. The distinction is very blurry - Jimmy does focus more on exposing news stories most people aren't aware of, but he does so by bringing on the journalists who are reporting on it, so you could argue he's more platforming those journalists than doing "journalism" himself... But I don't think how you define it really matters either way, what matters is that they're exposing people to the truth they wouldn't otherwise know about.

I have ocean front property and our county council has increased our set backs which makes it impossible to build back. The entire ocean front will be displaced. Our local government is corrupt and their friends are milking the system. We had so many prior fires to learns from and a big one back in 2018 that almost took Lahaina. They did nothing to prepare and why no emergency roads were opened and no emergency sirens were used. All the people who died lived in a neighborhood full of families with older people. They found a kid holding his dog and he has already been forgotten like the older people who also lost their lives. Thank you for keeping this in the news because we need help.

His views simply evolved as things happened in the world, as did mine. A huge turning point was the 2016 election and the aftermath with Russia-gate. He did not become a Trump supporter or stop being liberal, but his recent audience doesn't understand that.
I appreciate that he has evolved publicly, and in my opinion, organically. This has happened to lots of people who were willing to accept that the narrative as given does not accurately account for the bizarre reality we find ourselves living in. Cheers!
