beautiful work man! I tend to have a tough time placing dialing in flash to mix with ambient in these situations, so it was nice to see how you did it! Thanks for the tips!
Never been to drama opera shows, but after I watched your pocketful ambience light setup.. Got to say, I have to give a shot to see their performances. Thank you Mark and best of luck 👏🏼
Stumble on your channel today and really love your vids 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 Could you talk about white balance and how you set it? What part of the process you set it? This is something i struggle with.
Nice video. Curious to know where the main light was located on the balcony image. I see you used a single baffle to diffuse and there doesn't appear to be many hot spots on her face, so would I be right in assuming she had fairly matt make up? Finally the fresnel attachment, could you supply a link the in the above description. Thanks
Hey Mark, love your videos. Would love to see one of how you MAKE your TH-cam videos, the camera gear you use, editing, etc OR how you make your IG reels!! all great content. Thanks
i used to produce for a commercial shooter in the early 90’s - he shot 8x10 with the really old flash strobes you had to pop the packs each time you shot… he had us shoot poloroids first with the settings then he’d come out and shoot the actual shot. how times have changed!
Thank you, What focusing mode do you use please? Also I was wondering how you got the gig in the first place? Thanks for taking us with you. Many thanks Marcelo Kent.
great stuff, very interesting....i have a pressing question though. I have a question I hope someone can shine a light on for me. I usually shoot with flash only or ambient only, but now have to do a small shoot on location where I must balance ambient with flash, its a fairly bright area, a sports hall, my ambient reading would be ISO 100, F5.6 and shutter 1/30th. The only lights I have are a godox sk400II with a lowest setting of 1/16th and a godox 600 with a lwoest setting of 1/32. How can i calculate if I can use these strobes , i.e. I want to know in advance if it can be done or do I have to get a light that can dial in a lower power? I am sure there must be a way that i can calculate this first, but really dont know how to. any comments will be much appreciated. many thanks, Marco
Great and inspirational video. I’m curious, did you use the round head or the Fresnel head for these softbox images? Thanks again for the great videos.

Did you photoshop out the fire exit sign above on the balcony? I was think how I’d do it and was wondering if you’d use her head/body to cover it
