- This was a fun video to film this week. I made this sculpture to look like one of my favorite fishing youtubers @RichardGeneTheFishingMachine ,He is such a funny and informative guy!! Metal art is one of my passions that I haven't done I quite a while. I thought this would be a great first project for the beginner mig welder, to build confidence and see how fast that they are actually learning. And another main point is you can learn to weld and make money at the same time by selling your art. This stuff sells like wild fire. So give it a shot, there's no rules just express your self and have a ball. Nice video. I am interested in teaching myself hobby welding. I want to attempt to make small metal "stuff" not art so much, just stuff like making airplanes from sparkplugs, those little metal statues made from old hand tools, wrench J hooks, things like that. I purchased a new Hobart 210 MVP welder which i need to learn how to use. Would you know of some videos or web sites for people showing how to make hobby welding items like i mentioned? Thanks a bunch.
