I’m extremely impressed with the making of this video ❤ the art, the vision, and the quality behind it is massive. Hollywood and beyond I would say. Best of luck Elijah!
It seems like this might be the time you’d enjoy taking some college classes. You have a college in your own town. Maybe explore some classic literature courses.
So good! Loved the content, the flow, the visual story telling, and the vibe. . . Keep it up! It was meaningful, and truthful, and beautifully packaged; thank you for sharing!
This is very interesting. I have decided to give books for Christmas Presents this year as I feel it is time to think about what struggles were made for this future that we live in . Great Video Thank You
The Bible (a book made up of 66 books) would be a great challenge to read! If you read five psalms a day, the book of Psalms can be completed in a month. One proverb a day completes the book of Proverbs in a month. Four chapters daily will allow you to read the entire Bible in just under a year. "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: And the knowledge of the holy is understanding."
Your storytelling in this video was amazing Elijah . You are a natural . I went back to college at 42 after having a family and discovered how much I loved reading again . Right now I’m reading a collection of historical stories about Christmas and a book called Finding Father Christmas by one of my favorite authors Robin Jones Gunn .Merry Christmas Elijah
Excellent as usual…so clear you already have the hunger for knowledge and have an admirable curiosity based on how you have been raised. The finest education systems should hope to turn out students as special as you. We need people (citizens) like you in the universe.
I think this is the best video you've made and easily the best I've seen this week. This is so inspiring. I think that the shame of this internet age is that children grow up as watchers, not readers. There's nothing more comforting to me than curling up with a book, and nothing more engaging than reading words that inspire me and copying them to my journals. I really hope that you will continue your video making and that you get a job in film like you wrote about on Instagram. This is a great video and a great job application :)
I agree with others that have commented here. I never comment on videos, but have to now. Your talent is incredible; please don’t waste it! Filmmaking is in your future!
This is a great goal. Reading classics and other interesting/important works of fiction and nonfiction for decades has taken me from ignorant to slightly less ignorant. I'm more thoughtful, curious, and happy. It's a religious and societal obligation to gain knowledge, hopefully leading to wisdom.
I am a faithful follower of the Knorpp channel. I have a son that is very intelligent like yourself, Elijah. I watch your family because you are centered on JESUS CHRIST! My son, Joshua has enlightened me of how many lies are being told generation after generation. God made us perfect in his image and people blame God for all that the enemy has done to us. Heaven is HOME and we are only here for a lesson appreciating what God has created for us. I always tell people not to spend some much time down the rabbit hole because it can mislead you on the wrong side. Stay focused in prayer and let God and you come to terms with any answer that are unsettling to you. God Bless you and you have become such an incredible man.
Excellent job. I have been impressed with your whole family. Each serving a mission as you come of age and educating yourselves. I am happy to hear how your brother made such an impressive career before his mission. No wonder he wanted to have help keeping it going while he is gone. Good income it looks like although not sure if he has to pay some to the city or college. You impress me to with being able to go on adventures moving to different places. I am glad you came home from Japan as I have felt it is time to gather as a family as close as possible to be a support to one another. Take care.
There is a book that is very helpful to people who are trying to create a life/career that brings them joy. It's a personal development book called Wishcraft , How to get what you really want. It is not about magiacal stuff - it's a series of questions and exercises by a career counselor that will help you define what you want to do and how to do it. If nothing else you will enjoy the process of getting to know such small things as do you like to work alone or with people, What hours are appealing, What activirties did you love as a kid that you have dropped. How to overcome negative feelings and frustrations.
Good evening Elijah come If it's OK to ask would you post a list of some of the books that you found interesting? 70 year old grandma, And h I grew up reading Actual books For a large part of my life These days I find myself reading much more nonfiction, And many classics that I never read High school and door college each years.. I'd be interested in hearing something that you found interesting or enjoyable. Thank you for sharing your insights..
So, I went to your other video, first, because it showed up on my feed that you had that new one out. Not sure why this one didn't come up for me when it came out. The way this video is done in both script and editing is incredible, and I can see why you got the job you did, that you talk about in your newest video. I'm kind of surprised by one thing in this, though. You seem so surprised by what you found in this library. Had you not while growing up, or at one or the other of the colleges you attended, discovered the glory that is a library? That kind of shocks me. I guess because at 73, and a retired educator, libraries have been a part of my life, from my earliest memories! Now I'll grant you, I didn't grow up in the computer age, where all the information in the world, it seems, is available at the touch of a button. But still, as you know now, I guess, there's just nothing that beats wandering through a library and pursuing all those actual books! When I was in college, a jillion years ago, my favorite building on campus, (well other than the student union 😊), was the library! It was a grand old building with ceilings high as the sky, it felt. And my favorite part was the stacks. For some unexplained reason, the floors in that part of the building were composed of glass blocks. So, walking on that, was a trip in itself. But even cooler were the very old books. Even though I'm in the middle of the country, my university was established in the last half of the 1800s. And I remember the thrill I felt when I came upon books still with the first name "Bluemont Academy"! There was just such a special feeling of knowing other students, nearly 100 years before me, (this was 1968 through 1972) had held those same books, that I was now holding. And I thought about all the students in between, the 1800s and then who had also discovered those historic books. That Library, due to a huge donation, someone gave my university, has now been totally remodeled and enlarged. And I've not been in there since that happened. But I do hope those stacks with their glassblock floors are still there. And that students who decide to explore them, still come upon Bluemont Academy books, and also think about their history. Anyway, yes, libraries are magical places, and I'm glad you've discovered that now! 😊
Curious. Reading books is a great way to learn. My experience with this happened earlier than it seems to have happened for you. It’s never too late to read to expand your mind. What’s next now that you’re reading? A school? A trade? A job? I hope it works out for you.
1. Awesome video 2. Which camera do you film on? 3. A recommendation: get into philosophy. I highly recommend the History of Philosophy series by Frederick Copleston. It'll give you a glimpse into how we got to where we are today in terms of our most deeply-rooted beliefs (which are taken for granted oftentimes), such as cause and effect, being as being, etc.
Interesting video, good photography. It seems like the last few years you have really been searching for guidance on where your future leads? I really think you need to pick a lane and stay there for a while. Get a trade and work full time at that while you continue to explore all your other interests. Photography, speaking Japanese, and youtube are great but they aren’t gonna pay the bills for a long time. You will feel more grounded with a purpose if you learn a trade that will support you while you explore all of your other interests. What do you like to do? Carpentery? Maybe welding, electrician? Pick a lane for a while. Just a thought.
I totally love your logo animation at the end. This whole video was beautifully crafted! The message is totally true. I'm part of a national women's book club- Well-Read Mom- with a mission to help women read more of truly good literature, because it lifts up your soul and mind.
I can’t remember when, but I know you said you wanted to be the next Emma Chamberlain. I think you are more talented and could be even bigger. I know when she started, she posted every day for the whole summer to create her brand. I’m quite the introvert, but I can see your type of personality being very successful at TH-cam.
Did you get a degree or certificate for the schooling you had in Japan? Are you going back to school to finish your degree. Glad you're back, and getting back into things.
benn following your parents since the beginning.not a believer .do what you like cause there is an end to all that ,,,,for all of us,enjoy instead and love.
If I may make some recommendations 😊 My favorite book that I read this year was "Gay Girl, Good God" by Jackie Hill Perry. Her testimony is so beautiful as is her way with words. I also can't get enough of Elisabeth Elliot! Her wisdom is so rich and timeless and could never be understated. Have a blessed week, Elijah!

Elijah , you are so right in not waiting your life. It’s too short to wait.

This video is amazing!
I love the visuals and the pacing.
This should go viral - let's get it started
The Lord has ordered your steps, that’s scripture and so give yourself grace and time to make changes and choices that will be beneficial for you.

You have to DO something with knowledge. Not just existing but contribute to society.
Elijah, there was so much talent in your videoing! Great video!

I love your videography skills! My kids just watched this and we really appreciate the message. Thank you!!
🎉Very good plan.
Wow! Great video. 😊
Way to go Elijah. Don’t forget to keep reading your scriptures too! Put that first and add everything else.
Fabulous video.

Really loved the way you edited this video and put it together.
You would enjoy the free online courses on the classics from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan. Better yet, become a student there.
I like your message. I think I'm going to go and pick up a book.
Merry Christmas to you and your family Elijah!
Very inspiring. Thank you. Really loved it.
Beautiful warmth in the lighting while filming this video.
Bravo
Great message (and editing).

Your video quality was excellent. You need to enroll and go to film school. Your talent and love for it should not go to waste.

Welcome back Elijah, you have been missed ❤
There is a book by a Christian man named Don’t Waste Your Life by John Piper. It is a very helpful book. Beautiful video!

This is a good film.
You can’t go wrong with Charles Dickens. I must read if anyone is planning to write fiction.
Subbed, liked , shared 🙂✌🏻😎
Love to read.🎉
Very impressive
You definitely need direction.
Inspired.
Great video and good idea!!

I hope any friends you have in Japan are save from the earthquake.
Only an hour? 😂
Beautiful filmmaking, but that's...not really a lot of books.
Impressive video
The inches are worth it.
I want you to direct my movie about hotdog people that take over the world. I think we would work great together.
Read the Holy Bible if you are a born again Christian the Holy Spirit will teach you.

As a contrast/companion piece, "The Book of Queer Mormon Joy" is coming out this spring.
Interesting video. If you want true enlightenment try the real Bible.
I already do everyday! You’ll notice it’s quoted twice in this video 😉
Clearly you don't know that the LDS Church studies the Bible on a regular if not daily basis. We use the King James version. This year we studied the new testament.
AMEN
His parents taught him the real Bible don’t comment unless it’s nice !
Do better!
Well, I for one have always thought your videos were excellent/very informative/entertaining, but most of all made a lot of sense
