He made the contour of the turn, same reason why Max was ordered to give back the position to Lewis after both went out. Why? Lewis made the contour of the turn, Max just skipped it. At least that's the logic behind their decisions, which are not consistent at all and in this race they were just biased.
Ocon was in front and was in the racing line. Then, Ham crashed into him, so nothing he could have done. So he was forced wide, it was not his fault. And he was not ordered to give back the position because he was in front before the corner
An American manufacturer like FORD/Cadillac should buy Haas. Now that F1 is picking up among the American audience, it would be great for marketing. Im getting really tired of Haas and im sure the owner too. Anyway, amazing compilation. Hope to see more of this next season =D

@@RogerKeulen No, America doesn't have one brand who races. They all race under their parent company names most of the time, but GM tends to use their sub brands in racing like Chevrolet and Cadillac. Chrysler runs Dodge but in Europe tends to use Chrysler and Ford is Ford wherever they race.
It's well known that the Red Bull chassis has a design flaw that for whatever reason doesn't allow the steering wheel to be turned when Hamilton is alongside. In this clip Hamilton was sufficiently far ahead for the steering wheel to have full range of motion, thereby allowing the line taken.
And Red Bull takes the deal and still get a 5 sec penalty because Lewis did not want to overtake Max, so he just hit him instead.. If you hit someone like that on the open road, it'll cost you, but in F1 you get P1. A bit strange given FIA is promoting road safety... He’s a liability. There must be a lot of new fans who are used to watching the bumper cars at the fairground.
Verstappen is a bit desperate because he knows that Hamilton has a better car and he makes a great effort to be able to compete against it, hamilton even with a broken wing he made the lap record, Mercedez is better than ever.
Fastest lap is about timing as well, better car is part of it but it also comes down to timing and the driver. If it wasn't for the rule change, Mercedes would have driven backwards and won.
A year later watching this, at 7:10, it’s crazy how much Max slowed, how easy it is to see how much slower he’s going, and Lewis just doesn’t react. I know Max slower in a weird spot, but Lewis has so much time to just move over and pass with ease
Is it not obvious? Later on when Max lets him pass and he just retakes the lead by using DRS, That is what Lewis didn't want to happen. He didn't want max to have DRS to retake the lead even though Max doing that would be illegal

6:14 - Alpine fan here, but still i wonder why Ocon wasn't instructed to give Hamilton the position back, nor did he received any penalty for cutting the track and keeping the position. I know Hamilton overtook him a couple of laps later, but rules are rules.
I'm glad someone else noticed that
He made the contour of the turn, same reason why Max was ordered to give back the position to Lewis after both went out. Why? Lewis made the contour of the turn, Max just skipped it. At least that's the logic behind their decisions, which are not consistent at all and in this race they were just biased.
Ocon had nothing to do with the clash between Max and Lewis...

They should buy the engines from RB powertrains and buy the chassis from Dallara.

Usually he would cut the corner of track to take position. Nice observation @niller
Haha. Yeah he usually favours the “brake too late, skid across the kerbs, too bad if you take your rival out” line.
It's well known that the Red Bull chassis has a design flaw that for whatever reason doesn't allow the steering wheel to be turned when Hamilton is alongside. In this clip Hamilton was sufficiently far ahead for the steering wheel to have full range of motion, thereby allowing the line taken.
People are talking about FIA help Mercedes and here FIA is giving Deals to Red Bull.
And Red Bull takes the deal and still get a 5 sec penalty because Lewis did not want to overtake Max, so he just hit him instead.. If you hit someone like that on the open road, it'll cost you, but in F1 you get P1. A bit strange given FIA is promoting road safety... But, it is what it is, I just hope the final race is one to remember.

Lewis is such a great actor. The "best" driver and can't pass a slowing car? Then goes to cheer his win and afterwards he pretends that he's shocked.
it wasn't about "can't" pass... 1. concerned why he was stopping 2. It was the start of a drs he wouldn't have much benefit overtaking there so no incentive. As Hamilton got closer aswell Verstappen starting to then speed up again, hence the break testing claim and the penalty.
