Loved PM for a long time but didn't know much about you. It's great to see an amazingly talented person "just playing" and not focused so much on gadget xyz.

I love that such an awesome guitar player uses 4 things and old stuff to obtain one of the coolest guitar tones ever. You rule!

I’ve been a fan since I first heard “Through Osiris’ Eyes” in 2004. Fantastic band, love the space aesthetic and the sound.

I had never heard about the D-Tuna before watching the presentation of your EBMM guitars one year ago. I finally have my EBMM Axis with a D-Tuna. A fantastic rock guitar, and the ability to switch from Standard tuning to Drop D in the blink of an eye is priceless !

Awesome video! Have loved your guitar playing and Pagan's Mind for a number of years now, keep up the great work!

The firs ttime i hear dPagan's mind, I was blown away by there style. I also noticed Jorn's solo's were very Van Halen influenced, especially with the tapping parts in his solos.

You truly are a God among Men, Sir. As I said, when I met all of you after the first headlining show in America, Charlotte, NC, it took me three years to admit to myself, that I loved Pagan's Mind, more than Dream Theater, and I witnessed the level of compliment that it meant to all of you. Nils is a great guy, Ronny is a huge player in the band, and Stian is my hero, but as a bassist, Stienar is my main influence! New album soon? LOVE you guys, keep on rocking!..!

I wonder if this is filmed in his home studio? For as underrated(!!!) as he is, I really hope he's got a nice setup for himself at home, to record whenever he wants.
Also - I tried searching for an interview in Norwegian, but ended up getting one in English, with a Norwegian accent :D

Proud to know you.

    Hey Jørn, nice interview.
What is the DI you use? Is it only the Peavey 5150 II you use to record guitar?
You used to have a 5150. Is there a big difference in sound?
I use a TC-Electronic G-system with a 5150 and it is great for guitar effects.

  • @rockstaradventures1

IN the concert "Full Circle" I see your using Peavey amps, are those 6505+ or 6534+?

Jorn in such an awesome man! I remember the day when I had my first official bass guitar lesson and the instructor told me that I didn't need lessons. Little did she understand, I was there for notational reading, not to refine my pentatonic or arpeggio-centered scales. All I really wanted was to read sheet music -- is that too much for ask for? :)

Не брать гитарных уроков и играть на таком уровне - это достойно уважения

regarding 440 hz = A4 try also A4=432 hz in that modality all the c frequencies are multiple exactly of 8, as pleiades beings keep telling us... that is how music should be tuned, check this also en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_pitch

He's like me can't read notes or sheet but can still shred \m/ you don't have to learn those to rock haha

  • @Neilbear5820

that is AMAZING he can't read sheet music..........with all the complex stuff he plays one would think he can teach Music Theory.

Over the years I have been in contact with many great guitar players.
Common thing for most of them, none of them knows how to read notes. They all play by ear and feeling.
I guess that's what makes them so great.
