Powerwolf entered Fascination Street Studios in Örebrö, Sweden starting in January 2018 to work on their seventh manifesto together with renowned producer Jens Bogren (Opeth, Arch Enemy, Amon Amarth). The result is brimming with the Germans` trademark sound, and yet the band have recorded their boldest and most adventurous album to date! ‘Where the wild wolves have gone‘ even marks the first ballad in Powerwolf history - whereas ‘Nightside of Siberia‘ does the exact opposite and turns out to be one of the heaviest tunes the fivepiece have ever written. ‘Incense And Iron‘ simply MUST be part of every future setlist with its folky nature and anthemic catchiness; and epic single ‘Fire & Forgive‘ brilliantly melts infectious melodies into timeless, heavy shredding.

Everybody is complaining about the animation, but I think it fits perfectly (although it is pretty hilarious to look at). The priest and demon, in the video, are *meant* to look like cheap puppets, because at the end of the video you see they're both being puppeteered by the wolf.

It looks like a stop-motion video to me. Would be beautiful if they had done that. At least it's in that style. Notice how the nun looks way more lively than the fighting ones.

for all those hating the Music video because "shitty animations"...this is a puppet video which is filmed sort of like several Tim Burton Movies (corpse bride, Frankenweenie, Nightmare before christmas) and was thus one hell of a thing to film and produce, yes they are several CGI effects still used to make it seem darker in general but personally I love this Video and the song...also we are getting a backstory to the cover Artwork. Народ, аллё, это стилизация под игру, с намёком/стёбом/мыслью про то, что и добром, и злом управляют, как в компьютерной игрульке. Ну понятно, что управляют сами Волки. :) По-моему, отличная идея, и графика такая была задумана.
I guess the idea was to show that both Devil and God (Evil and Saint, etc) are dolls in the hands of someone else. Idk why people yell and complain. It is a funny idea to make a PC game style - this just adds some mood to the video. XD

Hmmm.
On the one hand I admire that you guys tried to make a music video that wasn't live action or didn't looked like it was animated in After Effects like most of the other PW music videos.
But on the other hand.... Yeaaaaaah. The animation is anything but impressive though I do think the "puppet master werewolf" at the end who is clearly the same fella from the "Sacrament of Sin" album cover was a nice touch. :´)

I hate to say that, because every time Powerwolf's videos left me with mouth open wide and speechless...but this one looks like crap. This cartoon way looks convincing only in the moment, when members of the band are visible, actually as puppets. The rest: the priest, the devil and the nun...they look like from 2003 pc game intro...

Just a drop of message here, am into Powerwolf for a long time now and their combination of Deus Vult and actual constant criticism of the Church is so well put together.
Sacrament of sin is a song about sacking and mostly raping during the sack, the entire song talks about how a man thinks about is it okay to do it, and then he remembers that the church has forgiven his lord for the all the rape they commited because they are in war with someone the Church doesn't like, be it a rebellious lord or even a different nation that's not Chatolic.
The giant werewolf that uses the cleric and the demon as marionettes at the end is the Church itself, coming up with both demons and hell in one hand, while in other is the cleric who defends the people from demons. So basically the entire message was, as long as you did it in the Gods name it was okay because you'd be forgiven. It's dark but very correct historically, just like most of their songs, I fuckin love Powerwolf.

This is... something. I like the idea, but I think what everyone dislikes is mostly the art style in this (and I agree). I think it's good to experiment, and I hope everyone involved with the production of these videos learns what their audience likes and dislikes from the comments on these videos.
