    Ladies and gentlemen welcome back on the channel! Today we focus on the forehand volley and the backhand volley of Mathijs. Mathijs has been playing padel for around 6 years after playing a lot of tennis. This is also why we trained his volleys.
    In my opinion most tennis players feel like they have good volleys and they don't have to train that. I think it's one of the most important things to change, because it will hurt you on the long run. It will be very difficult to change your volley after playing a lot of padel.
    Most tennis players have the tendency of hitting the volley early and that is wrong. You will hit your volley very flat and you will be unable to generate slice with the volleys. So in this video we will focus on hitting the ball later and to find ways of generating the right amount of slice.

    Very good Video. Thank you Sven. I love how funny your teachings are. Cant wait to try to put my elbow higher next time I play a backhand volley.

    Great job! Congrats! I would suggest using the non-dominat hand more for the backhand volley by holding it from the throat of the racket in order to create the tension and explosiveness needed.

    Hi Sven, my Spanish Padel coach told me to catch the ball more in advance with backend and to do less shoulder movement to reach the ball. here the guy you are training is moving a lot and this makes him lose power on the backend, I have this impression

    • @OtroNivelPadel
      @OtroNivelPadel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The shoulders should stay and hold. Not moving too much

    To generate more power in the backhand volley, instead of preparing too high he could use the left hand to hold better the racket and “pull” to create more acceleration, 🤟🏽

    Hey Sven, great video.
    If I practice these techniques work quite good for me, put putting it onto practice is a lot harder, the balls keep bouncing up to much. Same for vibora’s. Do you have any tips for that.

    • @OtroNivelPadel
      @OtroNivelPadel  ปีที่แล้ว

    Unrelated question...if in serving, the receiving player misses to hit the ball then his partner runs to hit back the ball before it bounces for the second time....is this a foul for the receiving team? Nothing from the rules speak of this

    • @OtroNivelPadel
      @OtroNivelPadel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The returner has to hit the ball, otherwise its an ace

  • @Teoman1908

    With this technique, where must the racket's face look at the end of the bh movement? Up or to the wall?

    • @OtroNivelPadel

      First I’m talking technically. Secondly, if it was in a match that student will lose to his coach. Third, wpt coach are usually much older because not player anymore but were often wpt players.
      Lastly, please don’t bring up wpt. It’s another world that 95% of us will never even get close. There is padel and wpt padel. It’s not the same
