Baldur's Gate 3 is finally here! Larian studios made one of my favorite RPG's of all time back in 2017 with Divinity Original Sin 2 and it looks like they might be trying to usurp themselves on my list with this one. Join me as I create a custom character to make a journey to Baldur's Gate after escaping the clutches of the Mind Flayers. I may have brought some extra baggage with me to deal with as well! We'll be playing on Tactician Diffiuclty on a PC running Ultra Settings. I hope you enjoy!

Bye Felicia
I’m loving this playthrough, I’ve started a few others but the players really neglected talking to the companions and that felt like such a miss for the story. Thank you for taking the time to chat with people!
Glad you are enjoying it!
Shadowheart accidentally got hit by the bone chill and got disadvantage on her atackroll. Wait what did the spell discibition say? "Causes undead to have disadvantage on their atackroll." Shadowheart is there something you're not telling us?
Just found this playthrough and looking forward to it! I like the way you describe things and play, SO MANY PEOPLE complain about the inventory but never do anything to manage it. I always have multiple bags and pouches for certain things. Potions, scrolls, gear, tools etc... So when I saw you picking up bags I knew this was the playthrough for me.
I played DoS2 I knew the inventory would be a mess. I did the bag thing to manage things in that game too haha.
Yeah I have hundreds of hours in DOS2 as well lol, Larian inventory is nothing new to me.
Emily Axford smiles on your choice of subclass
I just need to find a PawPaw now.
Episode three and there's the Larian RPG guarantee! That you will, at some point, attack or cast a spells on the wrong target because there are two people too close to each other.
Interestingly, it seems it automatically stabilized Shadowheart upon the end of combat. That's nice of the game.
Won't be the last mis-click I can promise you that!
Yes. YES! Circle of Spores! (I've been enjoying your playthrough so far. Good luck!)
In honor of the great Emily Axford's "Moonshine Cybin"!
@@AnalogVernacular Ah. A man of culture. 😌 Carry on.
funny how shadowheart is willing to go with a drow but not a gith :D
Lost my shit at "bitch book!" XD
Also "It's hideous! I'm not wearing that!"
There's a little blue tiefling Trickery Cleric somewhere wondering if Shadowheart has heard of the Traveler. And if she's ever used her duplicate to cause mischief xD
Critical Role Campaign 2 reference. Dunno if you ever tried to watch. If not (understandable), there are some cute animated shorts that tell the broad strokes of the whole thing.
Interested to see how Circle of Spores works! I went Moon because I love Wild Shape so much.
Also I love Gale, he's been my favorite party member thus far in my own game
CR is too much content for me to jump in. I've tried and I just don't have the time. I do listen to NADDPOD and watch Dimension 20 though.
As a dnd noob. And video game lover. I love watching someone else make the same mistakes I’ve made countless times in my very short dnd player career lol can’t wait to keep playing and keep making more and learning more. Loving the content!!
I've never made a mistake ;) I don't know what you mean. O_O
@@AnalogVernacular lol I shall take back my response then. My party likes to call them “hilarious goofs”
Loving your explanations for how this game works. Really helps a lot.
I like all the explanations because I'd be so confused
i’ve just played trough the entire campaign of bg3 but watching this makes me learn new things i didn’t even think about :D
There are so many ways to play you're almost always gonna learn something
"Shanties for the bitch queen" Ha ha yeah I would definitely read that. Encumbrance is the bane of all loot whores. Ooooh I love games with alchemy in it. Vernac squashed that mind flayer like an insect, such a badass. There's the rude Lae'zel I remember lol.
I think you were saved by the mind flayer when you fell out of the ship. Thank you for the content!
Thanks for the content! :)
A druid, a cleric, a rouge, and a wizard. Quite normal if I say so myself.
i have over 100 hours in the game and this video is how i figured out i could change up spells for my tav (also a druid) AND the bag for sorting inventory thing 😭😭
Hey it's a huge game, I'm probably missing some things myself haha
that pale elf is a vampire the fang marks on his neck
DnD in a nutshell, every mistake is comedy.
Waist till you see some of the future ones... hoo boy haha.
It is starting out slow, but I bet it will pick up in pace. I was watching the early access playthrough before this and I am surprised how much was changed or fixed.
sometimes its good not to use aoo. like if the enemy has en effect that does something to you upon touching it :)
Great let's play so far, I just started today to play after watching your first video. Also i'm afraid you missed the opportunity to chose a different subclass for the mage, you skipped directly to chosing a spell that was in evocation (the default choice the game gives to you). It's a bad game design that it skipped that part when you click the "you have waiting options".
A bit late, but it kinda bugged me; You can actually choose all of your party members subclasses when you level them up to 2. Was thinking of Gale specifically. You completely skipped the subclass section and went straight to spells, which kinda tingled my OCD-nerve xD I made my Gale a Conjuration wizard ^_^ Was fun as hell.
The one thign I hated in this game. in 160 GB of install they coudl not find space for a little audio cues of grunting, and other emotional noises for the character? IT looks dumb when she is making faces of effort and absolutely silent
Not for me, they've done more than any developer does these days so I'm not gonna bemoan a couple grunts. In games that have done the sound bites instead of spoken lines (i.e. Fire Emblem Awakening), I hated the constant noises coming out of the characters so I don't even think I'd like them to do this. But that's just me.
