Great video! Thanks for sharing. You're in my neck of the woods, I'll keep my eyes open for you on the trails or more likely at the mountainaire. Ride safe!
What she called Nipple Point at 2:10 actually has indian ruins on the very top, and is a crazy steep hike, but once you're up there you can see for miles in every direction. This trail is in my backyard and is also my favorite to do many times.
I didn't know it was called nipple point! I always called it nipple rock and it's a great way point. We're neighbors! I'm from Michigan but I've got a place in peeple's valley and I'm out there quite a bit, if you're ever down to ride, leave a message.
Enjoyed the video. The drone shots were awesome. I'm glad you got closeup shots of the rock beds. It gives folks a real sense of what they are up for. This trail is next on my list. I hope 33's on a old Ford Ranger will be ok.
Thank you so much. 33 in tires is the minimum size I recommend for New River trail. 75% of it is pretty tame, but there are plenty of areas that are very rocky... Especially in the beginning if you run it starting from table Mesa Rd @ the I17. I appreciate you watching!
You should be grateful your daughter went along and you got to spend time with her. I’d give anything to spend another day with my dad. He passed away in 2021. Cherish every minute with her!
Of course I'm grateful she came. I mentioned that more than once in the video. I ask her to come all the time, but she never wants to as she doesn't like Offroading. She lives with me so I see her everyday. Sorry about your dad's passing, I know that can't be easy.
Awesome cinematography of your day out on the trail. Beautiful desert scenery all around! Looked like a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing & keep up the great work. Glad we found your channel!👍
Great stuff, subscribed! I'm moving to Mesa at the end of next month. My daughter (5yo) absolutely loves offloading with me. We saw this video together and she was so excited when I told her it's in Arizona!
Thank you very much! AZ is a paradise for Offroading and you'll have no shortage of places to explore. If you ever want some recommendations please let me know.
New subscriber here...Great channel!...We migrated from Phoenix 1.5 years ago and now live in northern Arizona. We did alot of local trails in the valley area. Weve been super busy with the homestead...We can't wait to start exploring northern AZ.😊💪💪👍👍
To answer her question, I am a father of two daughters a little older than you. I also try to spend as much time as possible with them. My oldest likes to ski so we go every other weekend in the wintertime. We like Sunrise Skiing more than Flagstaff (both in Arizona). We have skied Colorado and plan on some Utah skiing this winter. I just bought an FJ Cruiser and am looking to take it out on the trails.
We're going to ski sunrise this year. We haven't been to that Resort yet. Snowbowl is okay not too bad. I grew up in New England so we had a plethora of ski resorts to visit. I'm just happy that I can ski here in Arizona
Nice. I seen you last hunting season. You and your group passed right in front of us just north of Lake Pleasant. Next time you go off-roading you should invite me. I have an xterra. I’m in Phx

@@BuckinLifeoffroad Questions are a good response if we want to learn. Why u turn in the trail when a pull out was 100 yards away? Why was the passenger not outside the vehicle assisting? Would helmets have prevented a death or is that why one of them lived? They were adults. Correction this was a side by side and it was customized.
Yeah and that's why I wonder. People don't make the best decisions while drinking. If it wasn't that, it was most likely largely inexperience. Either way I'm sure the families were devastated by it, which is terrible.
I've heard of it but I don't see it on OnX. Could it be the trail called Road to Nowhere? It's an out and back and looks like the end is on top of a Mesa
Maybe next time, you might want to take your daughter somewhere to let her drive and learn how to deal with different terrains. It's good that you got out and did some exploring that she liked. Get her more involved than just being a passenger... Be patient!
She has no interest in learning how to off-road. She says it's not her thing. I've tried several times and she just doesn't like it. Oh well, it is what it is I guess
its funny she mentioned it being a good place to hide a body because Table Mesa Road is notorious for people dumping bodies , there are at least a couple of them every year I hear about on the news. not that far back on the trail though, I think mostly pretty close to the freeway. It just happens to be the first turn off after leaving phoenix that is "remote" so I am guessing that is why it is a common choice for murderers to dump bodies.
Oh absolutely. Makes me think of the movie Casino haha. It is also very interesting to think and wonder about how many bodies are out there that have still never been found . Not including Native American burial grounds
@@BuckinLifeoffroad We live near Moab and I'm teaching my wife off-roading in our 2022 AWD Transit van build-out for off-roading. It took me 20 years to talk her into jumping out of a plane near Moab and only 2 years to try off-roading. I think taking her to Overland Expo helped. Immersing your daughter at Overland Expo in Flag could be good, lots of young studs should get her attention. We'll be there.
She's still young and in that phase of not being an outdoor girl lol. Hopefully that will change in the coming years. She still wants to live in the middle of a big city.
@@BuckinLifeoffroad Yeah, I understand. My Russian wife wanted to live in SF but the closest she got was San Jose. Now she loves living in the Red Rock Desert. I co-founded a Girl Scout Troop at age 13, for my sister, and it was a backpacking and camping troop like the Boy Scout Troop I co-founded at age 11. The girls were hesitant but adapted. My foster teen girls did also. And the many foreign teen girls I hosted in Anchorage who were mostly from big European cities. Hook her with a gift certificate to wherever teen girls shop now if she drives 5 miles off-road. She shouldn't lean back in the seat though. That causes motion sickness.

I think I was on this trail back in the 80s
Still one of my favorite runs!
Been 22 years now. That is one of the best trails in Arizona to take.
Sure is! Will always be a favorite of mine.
Any places where one could dispersed camp off this route? Nice video. Thank you.
There are tons of places but I don't have any way points for them. If you drive the trail there is no shortage of places to camp

Haha. Thanks buddy!
like your videos, have you tried black canyon overlook?
Is that part of back way to black canyon city? That's on my list 😊
no It's on the east side of i-17@@BuckinLifeoffroad
Think I could do this trail in my mostly stock 23 Willy’s JLU?
Yeah, Absolutely! I wouldn't see an issue with that. I recommend at least 33-in tires though.
There is one major Rock Garden that has a bypass I think you would have to take though.

ATV in the bottom of canyon. Heard a death occurred. The atv was stripped by the following week. Really sad the driver was doing a u turn.

I-17 N to the exit for table Mesa Rd. Go right off exit... Trail starts
Don't use Google... You need an offroad app like OnX, trails offroad or Gaia
