I've recommended your channel to everybody. Love what all you come up with and the little hints you give along the way. I've been doing a frozen Amish slaw that works out great for me. I don't have a garden and hate buying lettuce and instead go for the cabbage concoctions since those seem to keep and store better for me. It's easy to make with vinegar and sugar, and I even cut down on the sugar and it's still good. I admit I love mayo coleslaw also. I think it's fun to try different ways and combination. You never know what you can come up with that tastes better than your same-old way of doing a thing. Maybe a scoop of ice cream on the chocolate chili cake to cool down the chili? Lol. Whatever, I'd eat it anyway with the chocolate icing. Today, I'm fixing me some mackerel patties, sweet potatoes and green beans for lunch. I only know one other person who uses canned mackerel like fish or salmon.
Oh that sounds so good! I don't do much with fish. Husband doesn't like it. But I love fish patties! I'll have to try some sometime and just make Husband chicken or something! Thanks so much for the support Cynthia! It really means a lot to me!!

Hi hun, AMAZBALL meals again, THANKYOU for explaining to people about Best before dates. As a chef myself and someone that cooks similar to yr lovely self, it does my head in when I see supermarkets or people in general throw away perfectly good food because its past its Best before dates. The amount of food that's wasted and dumped here in Australia is disgusting, not even food banks take it if its past its UBD. Crazy when so many people going hungry. Anywho, thanks again and hope yr all keeping well. Love from Australia ✌🌻😊
It really is crazy!! I can imagine how much food gets thrown away. I worked in a super market in the bakery department and we would pull carts and carts full of "expired" food everyday and pitch them! And that was ONE department in ONE store. Imagine all the stores doing this! Food waste has got to stop. Thanks for your input Monika!
@@mamabairds it is crazy, thanks again for sharing you cooking with us. Sorry but I don't think I'll be making the Chipotle chocolate cake, it looked yummy though. ✌🌻😊
Friends introduced me to canned beef while camping many years ago. Heat the meat, scramble eggs in it, put it in tortillas. Add salsa and sour cream, and you have a machaca adjacent breakfast burrito. Onion and bell pepper make it even better. As far as the cake, in my area, chicken mole is popular. Chili and chocolate based. I'm not a fan, but others sure are.
Gurl that cake impressed me!!!! Go head witcha bad self!!!! Think you may have came up with a new cake flavor..🤣 I absolutely love you!!!!! Melissa Ann🧡🧡

I absolutely love your cute shirts, random right? I love your content but now I’m noticing how adorable your clothes, children & hubby is! Much love from Greeley, CO💕
Chorizo is best when it's sold from the grocery store that makes it. And it's strong in flavor the same time it's delicious so adding the ground meat tones it down a little the same time all the meat gets flavor. I love chorizo with beans and eggs for breakfast with a little salsa.
With the bread ends if you don't want to feed the birds you could toast of the scraps of bread and make it into bread crumbs for different recipes you can also take the bread chop it up and do a bread pudding even using it for french toast as well... Bread pudding you can do with any kind of bread sliced or whole bread not sliced.... One other way you can take the bread is chop it up lightly seasoned and toss it with some extra virgin olive oil and put in the oven to make croutons for salad or just a snack... Just a thought if you don't want your hands to get dirty you can always put a bread bag inside out over your hand like a glove... and also when you make French toast or pancakes you can make it in bulk and individually ziplock bag portions for the kids and nuke it in the morning before school and when you put the individual portions you take the Ziploc bag put it inside out grab the French toast and then slide the bag over it turning it right side in and you don't get your hands yucky.... You could have pre-cooked sausage links to those little Ziploc bags and then give them a juice box or milk box and a couple slices of fruit.. quick healthy breakfast on the go
I thought everything looked delicious! If you eat shrimp, you can make that candied walnut & shrimp dish. Instead of using mayo, use your sauce. I bet that would be super yummy! Great uses of everything. You're definitely a master chef!!
Oh that would have been good! I do enjoy shrimp! Husband doesn't do anything seafood so unfortunately I don't cook it very often at all. Maybe I'll one day for me and the kids though! Thanks Lauri!
Dips: Cheese dip mixed with the Chipolte lime sauce. Softened cream chees blended with Chipotle lime sauce. Marinate/fajita sauce: chipolte lime sauce, honey, kiwi, garlic, salt, and pepper. Options: ground Cumin, coriander/Cilantro leaves or Parsley. Mix well and use as a marinate for chicken or beef. The Cilantro version is great twist on fajitas. Also the heated marinate can be the fajita sauce.m mixed with a cheese dip for a cheesy chipote dip for tortillas or keto tortillas. Use as a fajita sauce. Frying batter: 1/2 cup flour and cornstarch, 1/2 to salt as dry. Use Chipolte lime sauce with a little milk as liquid. Dip the chicken pieces, onion cut in rings, shrimp or anything meat ir veggies you would tempura. Serve with rice that had 1 tablespoons of the Chipolte lime sauce and 1 tablespoon butter on 4 cups of cooked rice. added and mixed well. Enjoy.
I'm new to your channel and I absolutely love it. Your food looks amazing. 💜💯 I bet you have a big heart if you seen someone hungry I bet you would feed them 😊❣️ you really need your own restaurant I can tell your passion is cooking 🔪🍳
Make bread pudding or make croutons out of the bread ends. Both are great ways to use them. Third toast and put them in the blender, leave plain or add Seasoned salt-Garlic powder-Onion powder and dried Parsley to make your own bread crumbs. There is a way to make the freeze dried version of bread crumbs or croutons by cutting the bread into pieces. Spritz withba little wster if going to season them. Freeze dry. Seasoned or plain croutons can be put in the blender or food processor to make seasoned or plain bread crumbs. Enjoy. Not sure how well the freeze dried version will keep in a mylar bag with an oxygen absorber because mine do not stick around. They are gone in a week. 😂 AS for the bread pudding it is gone in 2 to 3 days. 😂 I stopped trying to put those in mylar bags. 😊.
Can you do a segment on cast iron skillets? So many videos from TH-camrs use cast iron skillets and I’m so confused on the maintenance and how to use them properly lol. I love how you explain things!
I’d try the spicy sauce mixed into some ranch dressing. I’d hide some in chili or soup. Mix it with sour cream to drop a dollop in Black bean soup ! You can minimize the heat in a lot of way. Good luck 👍
I'm always curious what restaurant the sauce comes from. I got a bag of Swiss cheese sauce one time and I'm thinking it came from Wendy's bc they use a Swiss cheese sauce for their breakfast sandwiches. But I'm just guessing.
I have a Thanksgiving challenge. This year I'm going to make our Thanksgiving dinner only with the things I have home canned or are in my pantry/freezer. So my menu will be. I will be using my home canned turkey. And I will be making open faced hot turkey sandwiches. Which is my favorite way to eat turkey anyway. Homemade gravy. Mashed potatoes from our garden potatoes. Gf stuffing from boxes of gf stuffing I bought for .79 cents a box last January after they were put on sale after the holidays. They are usually 7.00 a box! I have been using them all year for stuffing and using the dry bread cubes for bread crumbs. Back to the menu. My home canned cranberry sauce. Both jelled and whole berry. As my hubby likes the whole berry and I like the jelled. My home canned sweet and sour green beans. And 2 gf pie crusts I have in my freezer that I need to use up. And pumpkin puree in my freezer from last years sugar pumpkins I grew. I think it will be a delicious meal for no money. Let the stores rip off the unprepared. This is what we have been preparing for! We got this! Let's do this thing!
My entire Thanksgiving dinner was canned by me waiting for the event. I canned a whole pumpkin, sweet potatoes, russet potatoes, mixed vegetables and asparagus.
Is that liquid sauce? I have never seen liquid chili sauce. It's raining, so gloomy out in Michigan so I am making a big pot of ground chuck veggie soup. Salad and buttered bread.

@@mamabairds thank you...
Cake looks delicious!!I have actually bought a candy bar that was dark chocolate chili flavored & it was good
I loved this video and have really enjoyed all of your content. I was wondering what in the world you had planned for all of that chipotle lime sauce!!
It was so much!! Haha thank you!
Cook a tube of pork chorizo then mix it with a dozen eggs. Once all done, just pick up bites with pieces of corn tortillas! It's so so good
I absolutely love your cute shirts, random right? I love your content but now I’m noticing how adorable your clothes, children & hubby is! Much love from Greeley, CO💕
Thank you so much!!
Chorizo is best when it's sold from the grocery store that makes it. And it's strong in flavor the same time it's delicious so adding the ground meat tones it down a little the same time all the meat gets flavor. I love chorizo with beans and eggs for breakfast with a little salsa.
MMM...now I'm hungry again...haha
You could have pre-cooked sausage links to those little Ziploc bags and then give them a juice box or milk box and a couple slices of fruit.. quick healthy breakfast on the go
Savory cornbread with that chili lime sauce
This was a very creative video, mad props girl. That cake looked bomb lol
Thank you!!
Also the heated marinate can be the fajita sauce.m
mixed with a cheese dip for a cheesy chipote dip for tortillas or keto tortillas.
Enjoy.
Hello Carolina! That looks yummy!
Thanks Teresa!
I'm loving your channel ,cracks me up how Americans say Worcestershire sauce lol 😂 x
Chili chocolate bars are yummy. I bet a chilii Chipotle chocolate cake would be yummy.
That was my thought process as well!
The bread heals --- bread pudding, crutons, bread crumbs & or garlic toast. For pasta salad add tuna or chicken.
Great ideas!! Thank you!
That is a great video! We all need some more inspiration for creative cooking...at least I do😘
Thank you so much!
You don't have much room in your kitchen like me but you get it done!
I'm new to your channel and I absolutely love it. Your food looks amazing. 💜💯 I bet you have a big heart if you seen someone hungry I bet you would feed them 😊❣️ you really need your own restaurant I can tell your passion is cooking 🔪🍳
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Awww your welcome
Carolina your corner cake extraction skill are impressive : )
Why thank you!! Haha
My dad used to mix ramen noodles with chili. It was surprisingly a nice comfort dish
Wow!! Mix it all together or put the chili on top of cooked noodles?
You are so interesting and knowledgeable- I enjoy your channel.
Thank you!
WHen I use the ends of the bread I turn the crusty part into the sandwich so no one knows they got an end piece. Love Love your videos
Thank you!
Yummy, I put mushrooms and bacon 🥓 on my Patty melt! 😋😋
Oh yeah!! I should have put bacon on mine! I know I got enough! Haha
Where did you get your bag cutter scraper thingy it looks very neat
I have it linked down in the description box! I love mine!
Hey people but bacon on doughnuts. Why not spicy cake right? Love all your recipies I'm going to try your wreath one this weekend. Bless your family
Thank you! Now I want bacon doughnuts....thanks...haha!
You could add the chili to corn bread mix.
Add the chili sauce to chili.
Nachos
Can you do a segment on cast iron skillets? So many videos from TH-camrs use cast iron skillets and I’m so confused on the maintenance and how to use them properly lol. I love how you explain things!
That's a great idea! I can do that! Thanks for the request!
Yay!! Thanks!
Pasta salad is a very smart idea
Thank you! It was so good too!
I’d try the spicy sauce mixed into some ranch dressing. I’d hide some in chili or soup. Mix it with sour cream to drop a dollop in Black bean soup ! You can minimize the heat in a lot of way. Good luck 👍
Those are great ideas! Especially the ranch part! Anything with ranch is fantastic! Haha
Or cream cheese. :)
You’re so creative!
Thank you!!
I just love watching your videos.
I appreciate that!
awesome as usual I love the ideas you come up with. I need to be more creative lol
Inspired thank you. And girlfriend you can put mushrooms with anything savoury love love love mushrooms. X uk
Mee too!! Mushrooms are so amazing!! Mmmmm
I'm with you I could eat canned peas anytime
I'm always curious what restaurant the sauce comes from. I got a bag of Swiss cheese sauce one time and I'm thinking it came from Wendy's bc they use a Swiss cheese sauce for their breakfast sandwiches. But I'm just guessing.
I was wondering too! I'm sure it is a restaurant where they discontinued the menu item that this sauce was for.
Lori, I would love this 1,000 times if I could! You go girl!! That sounds absolutely fantastic! A lot less stress as well! I'm proud of you!!
That sounds amazing! I’m thinking I should do the same thing…but I’ll probably buy a turkey.
My entire Thanksgiving dinner was canned by me waiting for the event. I canned a whole pumpkin, sweet potatoes, russet potatoes, mixed vegetables and asparagus.
@@AZCanner that's awesome!
@@mamabairds thank you! I'm just tired of the high prices. And decided to do something about it for my hubby and I.
Yum! I like the experiments!!!
Thank you!!
Is that liquid sauce? I have never seen liquid chili sauce. It's raining, so gloomy out in Michigan so I am making a big pot of ground chuck veggie soup. Salad and buttered bread.
Sounds yummy! Yes it was a liquid!
Wish I could buy Popeye's jambalaya pouch or red beans, so yummy.
Since you have that bread I'd use and eggs then along with sliders maybe a meat loaf to use later
When I shred my cheese I work a small amount of corn starch into it so the shreds don't stick together.
Wow...thank you for this! Do you notice any difference in it's melt ability after adding corn starch?
@@mamabairds most of the shredded cheese has cornstarch or cellulose on it.
@@jackiewalker5240 Right. Isn't that why pre shredded cheese doesn't melt as well as block cheese? That's just what I have heard.
Carolina you are so creative with that chili lime sauce. Your husband was a good sport to try the cake. Thank you
Making a quiche with the sauce too would be good
