I am a paramedic and suffer from PTSD. I have anxiety really terribly and watching your videos every night before I go to bed has to be one of my favorite parts about my day. Maybe it’s weird but your videos ease my anxiety and allow me to go to sleep in a good head space. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

As with many, I have also been there and know how it feels. I'm *not* going to tell you to "cheer up!" (Oh boy, the least helpful words there are, eh?) I got past it with Prozac initially, but due to a change in circumstances, we had to move to the countryside. I was off those tablets in a month. The change in pace of life, living in a bungalow on the edge of a farmer's field, and the natural peace and quiet gave my mind room to recover. I was brought up in a village and living in towns and cities which I'd done since leaving home to work at 19 was too much for me. "Going home" to the countryside, despite being 300 miles from my parents, was like throwing a switch in my head.
Is there something like that which you could do? Have you always dreamed of being in a different type of place, or doing a different kind of job? It's not a guarantee of recovery, but it would definitely help.
Meanwhile, all my best "e-support vibes" are heading your way, along with some virtual hugs, chocolate and your favourite beverage. Again, not a cure, but nobody has been harmed by someone actually giving a damn about them, and I genuinely do. 🤗

I only found this channel a couple of days ago and boy am I hooked?!!
Almost everything about your videos makes me feel nostalgic!
I’m from Northern Ireland, but I have been living in Australia for the last 12 years or so, and for the last few years I have been perpetually in a state of homesickness!
Pretty much all of your footage of the countryside, villages, farms etc (so everything really!) reminds me of home. It all looks like Northern Ireland to me!
Also, my grandfather had a dairy farm, which was always my favourite place to be growing up and even as an adult. I spent most of my school holidays at the farm and most weekends. It was like the central hub for our entire extended family to all converge on whenever possible!
So many fond memories of being on the farm, getting up with my grandfather while it was still dark, while the rest of my cousins slept, so we could start on his work for the day and get ready for milking. Granda teaching me how to milk a cow by hand before he would even let me touch the milking machine!
Ah, the beautiful memories. Unfortunately my grandfather passed away this year, aged 96. He had an amazing life though. He was the fittest man any of us knew. He was quite small in stature, but boy he could give me a dead arm my whole life, up until close to the end!
He was so fit and healthy that Drs from a Belfast hospital asked if they could do lots of tests and research on him, to see if he (and his body) held any secrets to longevity of health and why his heart was so incredibly strong, I believe that was when he was in his 80’s!
And lastly! But definitely not least! My other grandfather, my dad’s dad, was from Scotland, so I grew up with that lovely Scottish lilt in my ear from him. So it’s lovely to hear your accent as it reminds me of my grandfather.
AND!! I went to university in Edinburgh to become a registered nurse and stayed on after to work in the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for a couple of years. I also worked in the Western general hospital for a while.
I miss Edinburgh. It’s my favourite city in the world. And I have lived and travelled all over the world, but nowhere quite measures up to Edinburgh in my opinion.
I am just loving your videos. I love that I have so many videos to catch up on!
By the way, you are an absolute natural in front of the camera. You come across as a seasoned professional, who has had his own TV show for years! In my humble opinion, I believe that your videos are so well done, everything about them, from your being a natural presenter, your choice of music, your ‘B footage’ to your editing, along with whatever else goes into making a good video/programme, the quality is that of any great programme you can find on TV.
Along with all of the above, your regular high # of views for every video, I would be very surprised if you aren’t approached at some point in the near future, if you haven’t already been, to actually do a series for TV.
One only has to look at the comments section for every single video, to see just how much people love what you do.
When you can attract so many people who have never had an interest in your subject matter before, and get rave reviews every single time, trust me, you are doing everything right my friend.
Whatever the winning formula is for a great TV show to be successful, I believe you have found it.
Well done Graeme! I don’t know you at all, but I can’t help but feel really proud of what you have achieved here!
A lad from Scotland, making videos about his work, looking after cow’s hooves! Lol Sorry, but that as an idea, really doesn’t sound all that impressive, or like it would attract all that many viewers, and yet it does! It works so incredibly well and I believe that a big part of why it does, is you.
So, that is why I am so happy for you. And I can’t wait to watch more of you videos! So, I’m off!!
    Oh! 🙏🏼 👏🏼 🤪 😳 👋🏼 🐮🐂🐄🐃🐄🥛🍶🚜🌅🐄🐮👋🏼

Great points about professionalism that can apply to any business or enterprise, or effort even as an employee.
I knew one young lady, a nurse, who was all the patients’ favorite - because she’d always go to work with a hairdo, and some makeup to sparkle the scrubs.
It wasn’t even about being beautiful - she smwouldn’t have needed makeup for that. She was a light in spirit and wore it well without getting so gussied up.
It just made her feel good and the extra effort she put in so consistently showed her bosses she was excited to be there and her patients that she treasured them enough to try and brighten their day, since the scrubs were fairly boring.
She worked with the elderly, and had to be very physically strong 💪, so here comes this little stout gal with a big smile and her hair done different every day and it gave the patients something to talk about, or guess on.
Good point to always arrive prepared, ready, and excited.
That’s how I feel after cleaning my kitchen: I can’t wait to cook for my family again and I get all kinds of ideas for recipes - the maintenance clears the space for imagination and creative solutions to arise.

@@Glorpus , as I was approaching the end of my school years around age 18, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life other than travel! Oh, and I had always dreamed about going to somewhere in Africa to do some sort of volunteer work there.
However, one thing I was so sure of at that age, was that I was done with school and studying! I had long warned my parents to not expect me to go to university! I was so over studying, assignments and exams!
So, after I finished school, I enjoyed that summer with my friends, going on a fun holiday to Ibiza!!
Then in the September I moved to the city, moved in with some friends I had met through my sister, who went to university there, and got a crappy job as I was pretty much willing to do anything to try and earn enough money to pay my rent, bills, with hopefully enough left over to have fun with my friends and support my new independent life away from my parents!!
I worked a few different types of jobs for about a year and then luckily enough I found an organisation advertising for volunteer work in Mozambique, Africa!! So, I moved to Denmark, where this organisation was based, lived, studied, fundraised there for 6 months, then went to Mozambique and had the most amazing experience of my life for a further 6 months, then went back home to Ireland and worked a few jobs for another year before going travelling again to South Africa, Australia and New Zealand for about 5 months before settling in Australia for another year on a working holiday visa.
That year in Australia finally helped me understand what it was that I should be doing with my life! There, I worked in a few hospitals as well as working at a camp for kids with disabilities.
While I had an amazing time working at those jobs, the pay was pitiful and difficult to actually make ends meet, just paying rent and the usual bills. I certainly couldn’t afford a social life on what I was earning and I was working 3 jobs at the same time, usually 6-7 days a week!
So, I decided that I was actually going to go to university! Something I swore I would never do! Lol
It was so expensive to study overseas as an international student, so I moved back home to Ireland and worked for a year, while applying to universities.
Oh, I nearly forgot! I had decided that I wanted to become a registered nurse!
I ended up going to Edinburgh, Scotland to go to university to do my nursing.
3 years full time at university, none of those long university summer holidays for me unfortunately! Lol
Only a couple of weeks off for summer instead of the approx 4 months that most uni students get! But it was worth it to do the course in 3 years instead of 4 years.
Anyway, those 3 years were some of the best years of my life. Even though I was a few years older than most university students, I think I was about 24 years old when I started, but in nursing, there were people in my year at uni who were in their 50’s! So, it is never too late to do what you want to do.
I have been a registered nurse now for just over 15 years!
I’m glad I didn’t go to university when I was 18 or 19, because I don’t think I would have stuck it out. I had no interest in it at that time, plus, nursing wasn’t even on my radar at that age either. Also, from the age of 18-24, when I was “finding myself”!!! Those years were just amazing for me. I traveled to so many places and I made some amazing friends from all over the world. What I would give to be able to go back in time and do those years all over again!
You are going to be working for the rest of your life, so enjoy yourself now, while you are young and especially while you have nothing tying you down, that is if you have nothing tying you down to one place!!
Either way, you have time to figure out what you really want to do. Find new jobs in different areas of work. Try as many different types of jobs that you can, in order to find out what you really enjoy and what you might want to do for the rest of your life!
When I was your age, I often had 3 different jobs at the same time. But, of course they were all part time. During the year that I was at home applying for university, I worked during the day, weekends and a couple of weekdays at a shop that sold absolutely everything under the sun except food! Then the other weekdays that I wasn’t in the shop, I worked at a day centre for adults with learning disabilities, which was such a fun job! Then at the weekends, I was either working at the shop or I also worked at the residential home for adults with learning disabilities.
During that time, I was working so many hours each week, but it never really felt like it, honestly! Because I was working at 3 different jobs, each very different from the others, so it didn’t feel like I was working all the time.
Also, the 2 different jobs working with adults with learning disabilities, quite often they did not really feel like work either, because at the day centre, we would take the clients out on day trips regularly, either going to the swimming pool, or we would go to a cafe for tea/coffee and a snack or we would go out for ice cream, or a day trip to the coast during the summer, and so on!!
At the residential home, we would take them shopping, or go out for dinner and at the weekends we would always have at least one evening at a quiet pub for a couple of hours.
So, you see, when you work a job like that, it doesn’t always feel like work!
However, important to know that those jobs aren’t all fun and games as well! Depending on the individual that you might be working along side and what their needs are. Some people are physically very capable and able to do most things or everything for themselves. Then there are other people who need a lot of help with every area in their lives. From dressing, going to the toilet, washing, eating, some people can’t do anything for themselves and that is what we are there for.
Sorry, just felt that I should be clear about what that job can involve, as it’s not all just fun days out!
Anyway, I am so sorry that I have written a book!! But once I started, I guess I got caught up in nostalgia!!
I really hope you find something that you love. I’m sure you will, but just don’t feel pressured, you are still young enough that you have loads of time to experiment with different jobs and I would highly advise you to do that.
      Good luck!
