I'd always considered myself reasonably well educated in WW2 history. This is the first time I've ever heard of Singaporeans fighting in Europe. Thank you for spreading the word of their efforts. Well done!!

Ho Weng Toh died January 2024 aged 103. May he - and the many others who fought for our freedoms - rest in peace.

None of them who lived through those times will be forgotten - not while I'm alive. Spread the word, to the young.

In the sky's above the isle. Aces in exile prevale.

Always. The Polish exiles were good pilots too. Exiles seem to the great fighter pilots.

thank you so much for bringing us this video. I myself have next to no knowledge of Singapore's contribution to WW2 and I'm glad to be less ignorant of it now.

Good to retell their stories but it is extremely harsh to say they are forgotten. All over the country there are memorials that commemorate those who came from all over the empire to defend the World from Fascism. There names are there for all to see next to our own.

But as an American I would never be aware of these memorials

Seems fascists are back worldwide. Seems the world really have forgotten about all of it. You are a rare exception, people this days have learnt anything.

FASCINATING! My father was German and fought the Nazis in the British Army. It took all kinds of good people to fight the evil.

They were treated like garbage after the war. Many them were disappeared by the government deported back to where they came from in some cases the families they had in the UK didn't even know what happened to them.

"Dedicated to those who served on distant battlefields" is a bit underwhelming; how about "fought for all our freedoms"?

It's a great 👍🏻 attitude of ( time line) channel that appreciates and relives legacy and sacrifices of one of the foreign warriors.he fought Nazism regime in the sky during WW2. For British favorite. His country was invaded by Japanese in the Far East ..

There were NO “Singaporeans” then. They were Malayans. The term “Singaporean” only came after Singapura broke away from the Malayan Federation in 1965.
