"The incredible true story of Aidan MacCarthy, a young medical graduate from the south-west of Ireland who survived some of the most harrowing experiences of World War II - evacuation from Dunkirk, then almost four years of POW captivity and finally surviving the atomic bombing of Nagasaki. 70 years later, his daughter travels to Japan in search of the mysterious donor of a Japanese Samurai sword."
I am very lucky that I have no experience such sad and brutality, any way, war is meaningless and inhumanity. I wish no war would be happened in the world. Finally, thanks for your precious video.
It was a wonderful historical coverage documentary about an Irish doctor adventure during WW2. What Japanese empire military efforts committed atrocities against civilians in far eastern Asian countries exactly 💯 reflected beasts reality of Japanese culture and daytime deals of Japanese people's, one personal experience remains a bright star 🌟 beneath whole bloody, bleack, darkness WW2 Tableau

Few documentaries, if any in recent times, can bring a tear to ones' eye. I miss that great generation.
What a phenomenal testimony! I'm so glad this will be passed down in history.

Surely this would make an incredible movie!
Do not cover up history with blurred out images!
My great grandfather helped reintegrate Japanese Americans into American society after the war so this means a lot to me.
Very good.

Why are the Irish in Japan? Wasn't Ireland a neutral country during World War II? Also, my maternal grandfather had a katana captured in Okinawa1945.
