I’m surprised you didn’t realize it’s cheaper to shop the Euro brands in Europe…. I do the same here in the US… I just fly to Europe a few times each year and pick up what I need… unless it’s an item that will sell out everywhere.. Then I just grab it wherever I find it.

I am from Europe. I go to Dubai to buy jewelry (Cartier, Van Cleef and Arpels, Bvlgari etc). Because in Dubai they are much cheaper than in Europe. Everything else is yes more expensive.
Really? I found the jewellery to be a lot cheaper, even though Bvlgari offer 10% off their store price here if you're a regular customer, I still found the prices to be better there tbh x

As unfair as it might seem, it's not totally accurat. You are supposed to pay that tax at the airport, and then you get some of it back. In Norway you pay 25% tax of everything you shop when you get back to the airport in Norway, + another 10,6% in duties. You only get about 11% back in taxfree after all the fees are drawn. So in total it's about the same price as shopping in South East Asia ...IF you do it the "right" way :)
I use to always see Loro Piana stores but my dyslexic self thought it was called Love Diana. A part of my dyslexia is I can’t read script writing, which they use on their store fronts. I feel so dumb now but always thought it was called after Princess Diana or something 😹

I never got any De-tax money back. I am European citizen my husband - American. They have never authorised us to claim the tax when traveling to USA because of our European residency.

Well it's purely subjective but I think the lack of ethics in the designer fashion industry especially when it comes to animal suffering and human labour, makes all of those products low quality. If you buy them, you are a low quality human being because for you life is about showing off wealth without any consideration of who suffered to feed your ego.
