It's when you use a smaller amount of water with the intent on having the pasta absorb all of it while it cooks, eliminating the need to strain it while maximizing the flavor absorbed into the pasta. This is supposed to be done with rice only, but it can be done with pasta if you figure out how to get the amount of water just right for the pasta to absorb all of it without going soggy.

Also, rotini would definitely absorb the cheese faster with its shape, and if you want to go the extra mile, put it in a casserole dish, top it with a shredded mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses and bread crumbs, and bake it until the top is golden brown

No one over acted, no one sounded too extravagant until the very end when they blew up at each other, it just sounded like a humorous petty argument between two roommates. This was gold.
