- In 2015 1000 Rockers performed simultaneously "Learn to Fly" by the Foo Fighters in Cesena - Italy.
The video got more than 32 million views and the Foos actually held a concert in town!
In 2016 we organized "That's Live" the first concert ever of the Biggest Rock Band on Earth!
1000 musicians, one stadium, playing the songs that made the glorious History of Rock!

As a 55 year old man who grew up loving Bowie's music, what touches me the most is watching people 3 decades younger then me loving it just as much. Bravo!

This is a great tribute to David Bowie. Rebel Rebel was released in 1974, probably long before most of these performers were born yet they obviously appreciate great music when they hear it.
Turned 61 yesterday and it does my heart good to see everyone from kids to older people and everyone in between come together in peace and love through amazing music. Awesome.
The age range and diversity are impressive. The whole vibe is so uplifting. I've watched this a dozen times in the last couple of days. Seriously infectious. Love it!!!

this was done in Italy? How did everyone get invited and how did that all occur?
We auditioned to www.rockin1000 and after getting accepted, they sent us videos prepared by the gurus. There was a guitar guru, a drum guru, a bass guru, and a voice guru. We played along with our appropriate video and the gathered in Italy on the 21st of July for rehearsals all together.
And you just know that this is *exactly* how he would've wanted it performed: Extravagant, needlessly excessive (in a good way), and done by people from all walks of life.
I'd wager the man himself was able to hear this one from space.
That's it. Just shut the internet down. There's nothing left to do. God bless all these musicians and God bless David Bowie!

i saw Bowie in 1972, his Ziggy Stardust tour, then several times over the years: he was an unbelievable performer...he took you right into the music. It's so cool to see 1 and 2 generations later still rockin' to this! Awesome job! I got goosebumps watching this video! Thank you all!!
You are welcome, but I think we had 3 generations playing. I was the oldest at 66 and the youngest was around 10.
I had a great time in Cesena. Manuzzi Stadio was really rocking and all the songs were in English, of course. So I felt right at home. I met some fabulous Italians there. Can't wait to see what they will figure ourt to do next year.

yes it was. Plus walking around the stadium with Fabio the day before was terrific. After the concert, there was a party near Carrisport. So I met many of the musicians.

Being there playing (singing) with 1200 other musicians was an amazing experience... Sometimes I wished to have the gift of obiquity and being able to listen to /watch the whole thing from outside as well... this video finally made it possible! Thank you Rockin'1000!!!

I envy the kids but at the same time i'm proud of them, as a 12 year old myself, I envy the fact they can be there but not me, they're going places, I hope to someday be like these people, banging drums, playing the bass or lead guitar. This has inspired me :)

I love this video because they film up close and personal so you get to see the musicians expressions on their faces. You can just see and feel the love for music. It's awesome!!! I must watch this a dozen times a day because it makes me feel good. I'm home bound so watching these videos shows me there is a world out there. 😊
