I like the intro...i dont know why i always have to explain that to people who are starting out in photography.
I guess you must have been standing in a darkroom, watching the pro's at work and explaining to you what they are doing. I guess i've been lucky.
    Thanks Mark.

The most professional channel for Sony Alpha and LR/PS users. Lot's of condensed information about how to use Sony cameras in different situations and how to use LR_PS task oriented and always showing great images before and after. I'm really font of your work Mark. Your not just a great photographer but a great teacher as well.

Another fantastic video from Mark; his portrait one is also excellent and highly recommended if anyone hasn't seen that.
The extra bonus in these videos for me though is seeing how Mark has scored his own photos using the stars bottom left of the images!

I am new to photography, and new to Lightroom, and I've taken a couple of days going through each section of your video and using the tools with many of my images. Mark, this is such a wonderful masterclass. I'm viewing it again after watching it several months ago. It made me realise that there are a couple techniques I've incorporated since my first viewing (most notably the luminance and colour range masks when using the filters). Now, I'll be incorporating your other technique regarding filters which is combining the brush tool to fine tune selected areas when using the radial brush etc. And perhaps more importantly, your technique on dealing with noise reduction at higher ISOs. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!!! I will certainly view again in a few months to see what other gems I may recognise then!

I really appreciate your clear, thoughtful consideration of the notion of "real" vs. "photoshopped reality" at the beginning of this video. Thank You!

I just finished watching this tutorial after I came across another video of yours previously. I really appreciate how informative and educational both of the videos were, and picked up on a few techniques from the couple I have watched that I believe will be quite helpful with my own photography. I want to extend a huge thank you for this as it gets so irritating with other TH-cam photographers who are more interested in pushing gear for an extra buck or kick backs rather than truly be helpful to other photographers that hold a true passion for the art; however maybe there is a certain few techniques that could give them that extra edge. Again, great video and very informative, Thank you!

Mark, your channel is fantastic! I am a serious amateur, who just recently jumped into the Sony platform with an A7RM3. I have been a lifelong Nikon user (D810) and although I find myself using the Sony almost 95% of the time, I have not left the platform completely, as I have some awesome glass that I don't want to part with--- and don't yet have the equivalent on the Sony side. I stumbled across your channel, and have been a dedicated fan ever since (and plan on joining, soon). Your reviews, tutorials and general virtual guidance have taught me alot about the camera, and taking better photographs, in general. Please keep up the great work of carrying the Sony flag, and teaching all of us how to enjoy this awesome hobby.

I love this channel. Always great info and very well laid out. Even for me, who's moving away from the (questionable?) tactics of Adobe, I watched this whole video since much of it applies to all photo editors (using CaptureOne these days), and not just Lightroom. So it's a masteclass for Lightroom, but also a very nice resource for us not using that.

    Mr. Galer:
The appearance of DSLRs to me was absolutely daunting up until about a month ago, even though I learned on my fathers AE-1 and developed my own film in an exploratory photography class in high school. With the help of your courses, and a new Sony a7ii (which I'm very proud of) I have evolved from a cell-phone insta-filter style shooter into a capable operator of a tool of optical precision. I feel like a capable photographer after watching and re-watching parts of many of your videos, and I will undoubtedly list you as an influence in my photography given the opportunity.
Another note, as someone who extensively used photoshop for other creative means (I felt very at home to Lightroom,) you've opened my eyes to storytelling through images. Previous, I would have scoffed at an edited photo, but you've really turned me on to expressing myself through photography as a means of storytelling with this particular video. Man, I must have thrown away hundreds of decent shots because of a tree cropping the background oddly, or a car passing at the wrong time, when I could have made a simple edit to convey my message. I'm definitely going to give all my captures the 'Galer' eye from now on.
Thank you for making me feel more comfortable with my device with your stellar coursework, there's a reason you're a global ambassador -- but also, thank you for giving me a thorough appreciation for the art and science of the trade.

Finally somebody is expressing what I saw for the past decade in my photos and „professional curators“ disqualified as over-expressing color or simply falsifying the “reality” although for centuries renowned painters from da Vinci to Picasso did exactly the same. Even nowadays publications like National Geographics guide their contributors to submit unedited pictures with the reasoning that this way they would see the nature through theirs “eyes”.
