Well y'all are crazy if y'all think the #1 team all season should did 4 spots after a 3pt loss to a team that luckily beat a 5-7 team the previous week. So a 3pt win can bump you up 5 spots and drop a team 4 spots. So if they blew them out, should GA be out of the top 25 and Bama be #1? By that logic, both losses for Texas and Bama should've put them out of the top 25 a long time ago because they had horrible losses.

acting like the plan was for Bama to beat Georgia and knock them out of contention for their 3peat is quite the take. FSU obviously would have made it if the QB was not hurt but without him they are simply not viewed as a top 4 team. If you want the teams with the 4 best records then yeah FSU got robbed, if you want the 4 best teams then they did not. There is a reason Michigan fans are upset about getting Bama instead of FSU.

I agree, why not give Alabama an automatic bid to the tournament every year? 🤷‍♂️ why even play a schedule? Let the committee pick the 3 best SEC teams and 3 best big ten teams, with the other conference champions; give them automatic tournament bids before the season starts. They play matchmaker anyway. There’s no objective unbiased criteria for picking teams, that the committee uses. Let’s just make paper champions and matchmaker champions. No need for a schedule at this point, let’s put the teams with the most 5 star recruits. 😮

The problem I have with ppl saying Bama shouldn’t be in is that everyone is ignoring that Texas jumped 4 spots after losing to a 12th ranked team and beating a 18th ranked team but on the flip side Bama lost to a 7th/3rd ranked team and beat number 1 ranked back 2 back national champs that was on a 29 game win streak. On top of Bama was 5th in strength of schedule
I personally think that they earned the spot. I think you say Texas should be in then Bama did too, if you feel going undefeated matters then liberty and fsu should be here. I personally would have Bama and fsu in

No one is saying just any undefeated team should be in... We are saying FSU because they are part of the power 5 conference, with winning with 2 schools out of the sec, with overcoming thier obstacles when their starter QB went down and number 2 QB went down, while holding Louisville in the conference championship to only 6 points who were averaging 30 a game. That's why FSU should be in... It was all BS before the season even started when alot of analyst had Georgia and bama in the college playoffs. That means that you are already creating the narrative that a loss matters more than a win.. Saban was already stirring the pot when he was calling it out in the media how TCU didn't deserve to be in that game last year because it wasn't competitive. Maybe it wasn't competitive but TCU beat who was put in front of them to earn the right to play..This is how sports work.

I’m convinced that if FSU blew out UM (like they were supposed to) they would be in no question. I feel like banning it isn’t fair. I know it’s difficult to defend it but it’s also difficult to be successful at it. If they want to make it more fair, then allow the linebackers to push their DTs like the RBs and QBs push their centers and guards.

I know this is not popular and this is not meant to be a hot take, but how good is FSU? They played the 55th hardest schedule. That’s the middle of the pack. They could be just very good, not elite. They look elite because they have played a lot of weak teams. Two thirds of their schedule was against teams that were sub-500 or not in the Power 5. Their best win is over an eventual three loss LSU team in the first week. The second over a 4 loss Clemson. Their third was over Louisville who a week or two before had lost to a 5 loss Kentucky. Yes they worked hard and beat everyone, but let’s be honest, compared to Bama’s resume it’s fairly lack lustre. Of course they are going to look really good playing weaker teams week after week. Bama’s resume is not perfect, but its degree of difficulty was much much harder than FSU’s.
