@@leeshipman8849 Hello Lee, apologies I don't think I saw your message. I've been dealing with a bit of post convention illness so it's possible I missed it. I am currently working on a series of videos on Trugg for Patreon and I plan to be uploading semi regularly to TH-cam again soon. I don't know about Pete. He has some weird ideas about colour selection. For example, he never uses black, he always substitutes with grey claiming it is better. Now it may be that the camera doesn't do the job justice because colour definition is a thing. But When I see soldiers running around in grey where there should be black, or when he painted ships from the Black Seas set with grey guns it just rubs the wrong way.

His talk about how he continues to have fun with the process is at least as good or better than his talk about the painting techniques themselves. (Not that he's any slouch at that either, as the golden demon on his shelf would attest.)
I also like how he's constantly returning the basics, trying out variations on them, and talking through what they're meant to accomplish. Like a master musician who still makes time to practice the scales.

I'm obsessed with @heresyforheretics rn :O I really love how he goes for artistic expression above all, every mini he puts out is so cool and unique. I feel like it's pretty easy for all of us who got into mini painting from GW to just try to emulate 'Eavy Metal style and stay inside that comfort zone, and I always feel like @heresyforheretics manages to put all of that aside and find some beautiful essence in the plastic itself that he just channels into reality.
I feel like I very easily obsess over technique when painting my own minis, and I love how HfH over and over shows that, first off, less is more, and second of all, we're trying to make art, not just boast about technique. Really has me asking myself, "does this extra layer of extreme highlighting bring me joy" lol
Everything feels so deliberate. Artistic vision above all.

One channel I adore because they are going hell for leather on their own thing is the Grimdark Compendium. They are especially good at teaching you how to use texture, either through kitbashing or making the paint work (using oils or mixing in varnishes to the paint). There is nowhere better to go if you want to paint something wild, dirty, and generally a bit gross.

A little different direction than you went, but my favorite ones to watch for entertainment:
    Dana Howl
    Zambies
    Goobertown Hobbies
    Lyla Mev
    Ataraxia
    Sam Lenz
    Midwinter Minis
    Ebay Miniature Rescue
    Eons of Battle
There's a lot to learn from each of these creators, but I mostly just find their videos entertaining or relaxing. Especially Zambies. She's got this cozy goth vibe.

This is an excellent list, several fresh follows!
    Adding:
    - Midwinter Minis, some nice achievable ideas,
    - El Miniaturista - deranged OSL work,
    - Ninjon - really enjoy his presenting and how many varied techniques he plays about with
    - Trovarion - particularly great sculpting lately
    - Kev Dallimore does a huge amount of alternative stuff, historical and weird things from small makers. Very distinctive style for making sculpts which perhaps aren't the best really shine.

I don't really enjoy basing my miniatures but want to have cool bases. And jay from eons of battle really helped me with so many basing schemes/execution. And I just think he's hilarious. Him and juggz are the only creators here where I definitely watch every new video regardless of the topic (you're in there as well since I only skipped the kids video since I don't do well with kids and don't have or want any. Still think that was an important video, just not for myself)

I feel like Marco Frisoni deserves more than a quick honourable mention; in my opinion his channel is the second best for learning minipainting (after Vince Venturella) and the best bar none for learning colour theory. He's also the most wholesome and enthusiastic Italian on the planet.
Another (VERY niche) recommendation: James Wappel is *the* oil painting guy.

I think its a double edged sword, what I mean is, they're so great at what they do, and probably great at teaching, at the same time it can be very discouraging for new painters to see this top level paintjob and then look back at their minis, and even tho they have followed a guide to completion the mini might not even look close to what they see from the painters, one thing I dont see talked about is how tactile of a hobby this is, there is so much muscle memory and sensory input that goes into painting, something you simply cant replicate as a new painter because you haven't build the muscle memory and experience. Great video tho, they are some truly talented/dedicated people 😊
